Rose's POV

To my surprise, it was just food– genuine, untainted sustenance. The flavors danced on my taste buds, providing a momentary respite from the torment I had endured.

Relief washed over me as I realized Sienna hadn't poisoned the meal. I devoured the meal, nourishing my weakened body and allowing the food to fuel my child.

As I finished the last morsel, a surge of strength coursed through my veins. I knew I couldn't rely solely on luck or the occasional respite Sienna granted me if I wanted to leave.

If I want to escape, I need a plan and a helper but who would help me escape from here? And how am I sure they won't betray me in the future?

I sat back on the floor, contemplating my options as the lingering taste of the meal still lingered in my mouth. With the room feeling slightly less suffocating now, my mind raced, searching for a way out of this prison.
