Rose's POV

I paused, my eyes and mouth wide open from his question. His question took me by surprise, but as I looked into Adriel's eyes, I knew he was dead serious.

Although I already thought about it, I didn't expect him to ask me to live with him so soon.

"Live in your pack?" I repeated, confirming if I heard him right and he nodded. "Adriel, I... I don't know. I mean, I'm a rogue, and bringing me into your pack, are you cool with that? Will the pack members even accept me?"

He nodded, understanding my point of view. "I know it's a big decision, Rose. But I want you to know that my pack, would welcome you with open arms. We would take care of you and the children, even protect you. And I would be there by your side every step of the way."

I pondered his words, and the idea of living among new people, and embracing their way of life, was both nice and intimidating. After what happened in Nedan, I didn't know if I was ready to join a community again.
