POV: CALLIE

“Get up and run.” Another gust of wind surged around me, carrying the voice of the deity in my mind.

“I can’t… I can’t take it anymore,” I responded silently.

“GET UP!” The wind intensified into a whirlwind, the powerful gust pushing Hunter off me.

I began to crawl deeper into the forest in a desperate attempt to please the Moon Goddess before my death, hoping to have my soul forgiven for whatever I might have done.

“You’re not escaping, prey!” the Alpha roared, sinking his claws into my hind legs.

I whimpered, growling, and kept trying to drag myself forward, leaving a trail of blood and tears, until I hit something with my head. Sniffing, I realized the scent that had been guiding me was now directly in front of me. Its aroma is mixed with something predatory and lethal. I trembled even more. Was this another predator come to toy with my life?

The ground trembled beneath its power, and even the very pressure in the air shifted. The aura emanating from it, though unseen, was undeniably stronger than my father’s. Something crouched in front of me, its warmth covering my body like a shield.

“Don’t you dare die now, Wolf. It would be a shame to have come this far for nothing.” The aura before me was the same as the one from my vision. “Alpha Hunter, today is the day of your judgment!”

A distant explosion echoed, followed by growls, while an alarm blared through the air, igniting a sense of urgency.

“What’s happening?” Hunter roared, as other wolves emerged from the depths of the forest. “What’s going on?”

“We’re under attack!” one of the wolves following our Alpha reported.

“Who are you, worm? How dare you take my prey?” Hunter snarled at the wolf standing calmly near my body.

The mysterious wolf let out a quiet sigh before releasing a menacing growl from his lips.

“So the rumors of your cruelty are true. An Alpha deemed a disgraceful king, so unworthy that he would attack a defenseless creature… You’re a shame to our kind—despicable!” the mysterious wolf declared. “Don’t you recognize me?”

A tense silence fell, as though Hunter’s mind was piecing things together, perhaps finally realizing who stood before him.

“It can’t be. I eliminated everyone from the Moon Blades pack. I killed the Supreme Alpha myself, along with his family and pups!” the Lycan king bellowed.

“Almost all of them,” the mysterious wolf growled menacingly. “You will pay for all the misery you’ve caused my pack and the imbalance you’ve spread to others!”

“Brat, I’ll finish what I started. You’ll join the weaklings of your family!” Hunter taunted, his tone sadistic. “Let’s see if you scream as much as your little brother and mother did!”

In a whisper, I heard the wolf say something only I could catch:

“Hold on tight!”

The sounds of the nocturnal forest echo as a prelude to the impending battle. A deep howl pierced through the trees, slicing through the night air like a sharp blade. In response, a low, threatening growl reverberated, followed by the crunch of branches breaking under heavy paws.

The first attack erupted with a sound of raw rage and fury, claws slicing through the air with deadly precision. The other werewolf, moving with fluid speed, dodged skillfully and countered with a guttural snarl. His claws slashed through the air like thunder, creating a deadly arc.

The sounds of impact filled the forest, mingling with the grating noise of clenched teeth and the heavy thuds of thick hides colliding. A roar of pain and frustration mixed with the sound of a body crashing to the ground, followed by a victorious snarl.

Silence settled in, broken only by the sound of labored breathing. Something gripped my shoulders tightly, and the voice that followed, laden with hatred and contempt, sent a shiver from the base of my spine to the top of my head.

“Cursed blind wolf, this is all your fault. I curse you to wither in the claws of this damned Alpha and bring hell to all the packs!” Hunter growled menacingly in my face, his breath heavy with the metallic stench of blood. The sound of something piercing flesh was almost tangible.

Hunter's heartbeat grew louder, as if his heart were exposed before us. Only then did I remember the vision and began to piece together what was happening. Slowly, the beats became irregular, fading in rhythm. A loud popping noise, like a bursting bubble, echoed through the forest. My father's claws loosened their grip on my shoulders, sliding down my fragile, battered body until something slimy dampened my paws.

“The Lycan King has fallen!” the wolves roared in victory, making me believe my pack had surrendered.

I sat back on my hind legs, waiting for the werewolf from my vision to approach. His heavy footsteps made the very trees tremble in his presence. His scent, though saturated with the odor of blood, carried an undertone of something I couldn’t identify.

The sharp clink of claws created a piercing sound that grated against my sensitive hearing. I growled instinctively, only to feel his powerful presence drawing closer. Despite the overwhelming force of his aura, I felt no fear. Something about this being calmed me.

“So, the rumors were true… Hunter not only kept his daughter as a prisoner but also hunted her.” The deep timbre of his voice sent a strange, pleasant tingle through my ears. “Tell me, blind wolf, I just killed your father. Do you hate me for it?”

My mind returned to the present, and I found myself staring in surprise at the wolves I had supported in my lupine arms.“What was that?” I whispered, astonished, realizing there was more to this creature than her apparent weakness and blind

I returned my gaze to the water, startled by the reflection. Scenes unfolded, revealing the image of a man with an aura of power and beauty. He had striking features and an impressive physique. His chiseled jawline and expressive eyes radiated determination and intensity. My wolf roared in my chest, tearing at me with an impulsive instinct to run to the blind wolf and stay by her side.“Lycan King?” the Beta called, glancing toward the point where my gaze was fixed. “Is everything alright?”I growled, making the table tremble, and all the wolves shrink back, lowering their heads.“Draft a solid plan. Present your reasons for attacking this pack—I’m not convinced about this one,” I said, pointing to the map, feeling my wolf's warning grow louder.“Where are you going, my king?” Jaxon asked.I roared, forcing him to take a few steps back and crouch in his human form in reverence.“Forgive me, my king,” he whispered through clenched teeth.I strode out of the room, and

Furthermore, I noticed her ears swiveling in various directions, along with her nose sniffing constantly. Perhaps this was her unique way of seeing through other senses.“Are you going to kill me?” she whispered, trembling.“If I were, what would you do?” I replied curtly, studying her reactions.“I would smile at my fate, but not before begging you to make it quick, almost painless,” she said, surprising me. Her nose brushed against my neck, sending shockwaves through my entire body.“What is your name, Wolf?”“My name?” She raised her head, her fur brushing against my nose, making it itch. I shifted, and she seemed to notice, lowering her head again. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to bother you.”“You have a name, don’t you? Or should I call you ‘blind one’? ‘Fool’? ‘Wolf’?” I growled impatiently. “Stop apologizing—it’s irritating!”“Sorr

POV: CALLIEI considered running. I knew the area well, and that was my advantage. Years of being hunted like prey had sharpened my survival instincts. My sense of smell was my sight, and I remembered the scent of every tree in that forest. My mother was a wise wolf, one Hunter had captured from another city. I didn’t know exactly which pack she had belonged to. During one of my father’s fits of rage, after he tore into my flesh during a hunt and threw me against a rock, I heard him roar:“I thought with Lyra’s rare bloodline, I’d have strong descendants, but no! The goddess decided to punish us and curse us because of you. The disgrace of the pack!” he bellowed, tearing a piece of skin from my belly with his fangs.“I don’t know if you’re daydreaming or plotting an escape.” Aaron’s voice pulled me back to the present.“I.” I murmured, swallowing the lump in my throat, unsure how much I should say. “I can’t explain how I did that. Resisting the pull of a bond that strong was an intense challenge, but I had already hurt her once—and I wouldn’t break my promise not to hurt her again.“When will she be discharged?” I asked the doctor, who kept glancing at the witch sometimes with admiration.“If everything continues to go well, by the end of the day,” he explained, straightening his posture.“That soon?” Callie asked, worried, as she caressed her belly. “I almost lost my baby. Wouldn’t it be safer to stay under observation a little longer? Of course, if the Lycan King allows it.”“Little wolf, all of my resources are yours,” I said, keeping my eye

This is nothing compared to what I’ve been through these past few years,” I said softly. The Lycan seemed irritated by the comment; his scent shifted, becoming more tense.“Alpha, are you alright?”“Yes!” he answered quickly. When the loud sound of my baby’s heartbeat filled the room through the ultrasound, it was a deeply emotional and unique experience. The rhythm was fast and steady, like the gallop of a horse—constant and strong. I could almost see tiny feet running joyfully across an open field—at least, that’s what I hoped to witness when my little king Rigan was born.I noticed the Alpha’s scent shift in subtle waves. There was clear conflict in it, but something more… was he moved? My wolf growled faintly in the back of my mind, as if that moment had stirred her. The Lycan’s wolf responded instantly; Aaron’s eyes now seemed to rest on my skin, burning wherever they landed.“What a beautiful sound,” Aaron murmured. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard a baby’s

I had been with the Alpha in my dreams—that fear, all that blood, my wolf—but I couldn’t find her anywhere. The pain dragged me back into consciousness, and the guttural sound told me we were losing my baby.“Rigan!” I cried out, placing my hand over my belly, unable to lift my body properly.A hand pressed down on my shoulders, keeping me in place. I sniffed toward the source, instantly recognizing the unmistakable woody scent that now saturated the room—his presence expanding protectively around me.“Don’t try to sit up. The metallic stench of rust thickened the air, making my stomach churn with nausea. I took a deep breath, fighting against the wave of sickness threatening to consume me.Yulli lay unconscious at my feet, her body radiating heat against my skin. The Alpha’s immense power had taken a heavy toll on us. A warm liquid trickled down my legs. When I touched the area, rubbing my fingers together, I felt the thickness of the fluid. Bringing it closer to my nose, I realized—it was blood. My inner wolf had been eerily silent since the battle in the deep sea; her once-rapid recovery now seemed impossible. I nudged Yulli, the witch, with my paw as she slept lazily, while Callie was already awake but remained still, waiting for me to assess the situation.“Yulli?” I growled, waking her.“What is it? Let me sleep a little longer…” She mumbled, but then I saw her tense as she sensed the dark magic. “Dante is here!”“Is he now?” I grinned between my fangs, sadistic. “Stay behind me.”“We can fight.” Callie protested, earning a deep growl from me.“I said stay behind me. Yulli, protect her if I have to step away!” I ordered, glancing over my broad, fur-covered shoulders.
