POV: AARON

“Come, wolf, we’re going for a walk!” I motioned to the doctor, who removed her IV lines. I picked her up, and she shifted nervously in my arms. Furthermore, I noticed her ears swiveling in various directions, along with her nose sniffing constantly. Perhaps this was her unique way of seeing through other senses.

“Are you going to kill me?” she whispered, trembling.

“If I were, what would you do?” I replied curtly, studying her reactions.

“I would smile at my fate, but not before begging you to make it quick, almost painless,” she said, surprising me. Her nose brushed against my neck, sending shockwaves through my entire body.

“What is your name, Wolf?”

“My name?” She raised her head, her fur brushing against my nose, making it itch. I shifted, and she seemed to notice, lowering her head again. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to bother you.”

“You have a name, don’t you? Or should I call you ‘blind one’? ‘Fool’? ‘Wolf’?” I growled impatiently. “Stop apologizing—it’s irritating!”

POV: CALLIEI considered running. I knew the area well, and that was my advantage. Years of being hunted like prey had sharpened my survival instincts. My sense of smell was my sight, and I remembered the scent of every tree in that forest. My mother was a wise wolf, one Hunter had captured from another city. I didn’t know exactly which pack she had belonged to. During one of my father’s fits of rage, after he tore into my flesh during a hunt and threw me against a rock, I heard him roar:“I thought with Lyra’s rare bloodline, I’d have strong descendants, but no! The goddess decided to punish us and curse us because of you. The disgrace of the pack!” he bellowed, tearing a piece of skin from my belly with his fangs.“I don’t know if you’re daydreaming or plotting an escape.” Aaron’s voice pulled me back to the present.“I.” I murmured, swallowing the lump in my throat, unsure how much I should say. “I can’t explain how I did that. I just know you shouldn’t go there if you value your l

POV: CALLIE“If you want to survive, blind wolf, you’ll have to learn to shift, or I’ll hurt you until you do!” Kemilly spat maliciously. “It’ll be my pleasure to rid this world of the dead weight you represent.”My heart raced, pounding intensely, as I trembled uncontrollably, fully aware that her threats were far from empty. I felt a sharp pressure in my stomach, as if I’d been kicked and slammed hard against the wall. Letting out a desperate growl, I gasped for air, trying to lift myself up.“Get up, wolf! Shift!” the enraged wolf roared. “I can do this all day.”“I don’t know how.” I whispered, feeling my head being yanked up by my fur. “Please… it hurts!”“We’re just getting started, you disgusting creature,” Kemilly sneered with a laugh. “Why would the Alpha make me, his future Luna, waste time on something as insignificant as you?”Oddly, the mention of “future Luna” hurt more than the physical wounds themselves. I growled at her threateningly, my anger flaring.“Oh, you don’t

POV: AARONThe wolf seemed to notice my presence, bowing slightly in my direction. I growled in reproach at Kemilly, grabbing her by the throat. That wolf irritated me deeply, but I knew I couldn’t eliminate her without a valid reason—not at this moment. Left alone with Callie, my wolf erupted in my chest, forcing its way to the surface in a shift, something that had never happened before. The internal conflict between my human and wolf sides had been constant since the first time I caught her scent. I cornered her near the wall, overwhelmed by a growing need to feel her fur against mine. I noticed her surprise as I rubbed against her, equally startled by my own reactions.“Let’s go!” I growled irritably at her, observing how, despite her lack of vision, she walked without stumbling or bumping into anything, her nose working tirelessly to guide her.Jaxon approached, glancing between the blind wolf and me, letting out a low growl of discontent.“We’ve gathered the information about th

POV: CALLIEI felt Aaron moving directly toward his final destination, and a chill ran down my spine in alarm. Just like in the vision, I knew the outcome of this attack. My wolf stirred restlessly, something inside me begging to stop him and get him out of there before he succumbed.“Guide the Supreme Alpha.” The divine voice reached me with a command.Risking everything, I threw myself in front of him, forcing him to step back. The Goddess’s signs were becoming clearer in my mind. Sniffing the air, a breeze brushed through my fur, drawing scents along a path that led us to mud pits to escape the poisoned claws of the Alphas.“A lake…” I whispered inside the grotto after rolling through the mud, then ran deeper into its depths. With cautious steps, the ground vibrated, signaling that the wolves were following me and stopping near the flowing waters.“Where does this channel lead?” the Beta asked.“Follow the path.” The angelic, divine voice of the moon whispered again, guiding us.“W

POV: AARONThe perceptions of the blind wolf were intriguing. When she mentioned that the goddess had guided her, my wolf settled, seemingly in agreement with her response. Few wolves ever received answers from the Deity; only her chosen ones held such a privilege—and I was once one of them. The moon spared my life on the night of the attack, when Hunter cruelly murdered my family, dragging their bodies through the city for all to see his power. My younger siblings, Zai and Zeni, were only ten years old and were killed savagely while trying to protect Davina, who was six. The three had been playing near the clearing. That night, I received the first call from the goddess, guiding me away from the pack. Her whispers led me to a waterfall, where I saw her resplendent lupine form, sitting majestically on a massive rock amidst the fierce currents of the relentless river.“Your destiny will change painfully tonight, my child,” the divinity resonated. “I feel your pain; many of my children

POV: AARON“Tell me, Beta… when someone doesn’t give me what I want, what do I do?” I stopped in front of him, menacingly breaking the rest of the bottle in my hand, holding only a shard of glass and pressing it against the throat of the trembling wolf before me. “I torture them until they beg for their lives and give me absolutely everything I desire!”“Understood, my king,” Jaxon stammered, swallowing hard, a bead of sweat forming on his pathetic human forehead. With the shard of glass, I pressed it against his skin, collecting the bead of sweat along with a drop of blood, and brought it to my mouth, licking the glass.“Now get out of my sight and don’t come back until you have the information I need!” I snarled furiously.“Yes, my king!” the Beta stammered, bolting from the room.I sniffed toward the top of the stairs, where the wolf’s sweet scent filled the entire space. Restless and impulsive, my wolf dragged me upward, stopping at the doorway. Crossing my arms, I watched as the

POV: CALLIEI waited for the Alpha to finish his bath, but staying on my feet was becoming increasingly difficult. Running into battle and throwing myself in front of the black wolf had reopened the wounds caused by Kemilly. The dizziness intensified until darkness consumed my consciousness.I woke to the scent of fear and pain. I wasn’t sure if it came from me or another being until I noticed his overwhelming presence. Furthermore, I heard his fierce wolf growling menacingly, ready to attack, and my wolf stirred within me, responding to his energy.“Everyone fears you.” I muttered to the Alpha, filled with anger.I was surprised by his continued care. Since my mother’s death, only Orion had ever tended to me so carefully, even within his limitations. I sighed, embarrassed by the touch of his hands on my fur, allowing my mind to wander, dreaming of how his skin might feel against mine. Would it be as intense as this? My thoughts drifted to the vision, where his face had made a home in

POV: AARONThe mention of a previous love by Callie made my wolf erupt with fury. Someone had been promised to her, and I clenched my fists, determined to hunt down the bastard. If his body hadn’t already fallen to the attack, I would personally ensure he perished painfully.“Let’s rest. You need it. Tomorrow, we’ll begin your shifting training,” I growled, carrying the wolf to my bed. Beside it, the housekeeper had placed a tray of fruit and snacks. “Eat.”Sniffing the air, Callie moved her nose toward the tray but quickly pulled back, startled, turning to face me.“This is your room?”“Yes,” I replied, my gaze lingering on her lupine figure, wondering what she might look like in her human form. She was a beautiful wolf, despite her thinness caused by malnourishment.“So… this bed is yours?” she asked, her agitation clear.“Blind, not stupid—remember?” I responded sharply, sitting beside her and pulling the tray closer so she could eat in her wolf form. “Eat.”“By the smell, there’s

POV: CALLIEI explored the cave we were in, sniffing around to make sure there was no danger. I followed the sound of water, dipping my hand in and feeling its comfortable, inviting temperature.“Yulli?” I called, but the witch seemed unconscious, having used the last of her strength to partially heal the poison that the Dark God had spread through my body.I slid out of my clothes, stepping into the water, feeling its gentle caress against my skin. I scrubbed my body, desperate to rid myself of the scent of Dante and Nocturnus. The darkness that clung to them was repulsive. I needed to figure out what to do next—the Supreme Alpha was the father of my child, the same man from my dreams, seemingly my destined mate. But why did I want to run from him? Why did I feel the need to escape? Aaron wasn’t like the man in my dreams. Had I simply idealized him?“So many ques

If they are found guilty of treason, I will judge and punish them personally.”“But, Lycan King, we didn’t do any.” The prisoner started to speak, but immediately fell silent when my fierce eyes locked onto him.“Please, Alpha, you can’t possibly believe my son is a traitor… This she-wolf disappeared for days and suddenly shows up with these accusations!” the elder pleaded, glaring at Kemilly, who growled threateningly.“Kemilly left under my command. She has served me for years and was once even considered for Luna. Show some respect, elder.” I growled,

POV: CALLIE“How did you manage to break free?” I asked the witch, alarmed.“I’m not an ordinary sorceress. Besides, Dante isn’t as smart as he thinks. The mana stone that repels magic needs to be bathed in pure cave water to maintain its power. I guess he doesn’t know that.” She let out a soft laugh. “And he wanted to become the Supreme Alpha with such foolishness.”“Yulli, why are you helping me? You know you’re putting yourself at risk… You could escape without me. I’m blind…” I sighed. “I’ll only slow you down!”“Why do you think I’m here?” The sorceress gently touched my hand, and I felt the chains vibrate as they unlocked. “The ancestors sent me to you. My inner beast roared for his mate, yet whenever we were physically together, he became fierce and defensive toward her.“Why is your wolf rejecting me?” she asked, confused, lowering her head, sadness in her voice.“I don’t understand, Lycan King. I thought you wanted me. Did I misunderstand?”Something about the way she spoke felt off, but I still didn’t know what h

He actually seems to like this blind she-wolf.”I ran my hands through my hair, stepping in front of the mirror.Despite the magic and my identical appearance to Callie, I could see. Those who looked at me, however, only saw blind eyes, unable to perceive the magical veil cloaking my face, shaping it into that of the insignificant little wolf.“Enjoying your new look?”Jaxon entered the room, laughing.“You look even better like this!”“Go to hell, Beta!” I growled, irritated, glaring at him through the mirror’s reflection.“What do you want? Her mind raced through the next steps, thinking of how to return to the Alpha.I nibbled lightly on his back, making him sigh, then trailed kisses upward, inhaling his addictive, woody scent. My nails glided over his shoulders and arms in slow, rhythmic strokes.“I still can’t give you the answers you want, but please, Alpha... Here, at least, can we just be you and me?”Aaron turned, cupping my face with his open palm. I let my head rest against him, closing my eyes to absorb his warmth.“Please...”His hand slid to the nape of my neck, pulling me forward, guiding my body onto his. He bit my stomach and ran his tongue along my hip, slowly moving inward as I sank down onto his length, inch by inch.

Why won’t you talk to me outside this dream?”“The followers of that so-called god, Nocturnus.”The moment I mentioned his name, sharp, needle-like pain pierced my mind. I groaned in agony, my legs giving out beneath me before I collapsed—only to be caught by the striking man in front of me.“The person who came to you isn’t...”I screamed as the pain became unbearable, a violent sensation rising in my stomach. However, the same had happened in my dream.“Callie?” I called. She kept her head down in silence.“Why isn’t she speaking?”“I couldn’t say, Alpha. I managed to repel it, but I think there were side effects.”“Bring a stretcher here, now!” Ryan shouted, issuing a command. “I’m going to take care of you.”“I don’t need a stretcher; just examine the wounded area.
