POV: CALLIE

I waited for the Alpha to finish his bath, but staying on my feet was becoming increasingly difficult. Running into battle and throwing myself in front of the black wolf had reopened the wounds caused by Kemilly. The dizziness intensified until darkness consumed my consciousness.

I woke to the scent of fear and pain. I wasn’t sure if it came from me or another being until I noticed his overwhelming presence. Furthermore, I heard his fierce wolf growling menacingly, ready to attack, and my wolf stirred within me, responding to his energy.

“Everyone fears you.” I muttered to the Alpha, filled with anger.

I was surprised by his continued care. Since my mother’s death, only Orion had ever tended to me so carefully, even within his limitations. I sighed, embarrassed by the touch of his hands on my fur, allowing my mind to wander, dreaming of how his skin might feel against mine. Would it be as intense as this? My thoughts drifted to the vision, where his face had made a home in

POV: AARONThe mention of a previous love by Callie made my wolf erupt with fury. Someone had been promised to her, and I clenched my fists, determined to hunt down the bastard. If his body hadn’t already fallen to the attack, I would personally ensure he perished painfully.“Let’s rest. You need it. Tomorrow, we’ll begin your shifting training,” I growled, carrying the wolf to my bed. Beside it, the housekeeper had placed a tray of fruit and snacks. “Eat.”Sniffing the air, Callie moved her nose toward the tray but quickly pulled back, startled, turning to face me.“This is your room?”“Yes,” I replied, my gaze lingering on her lupine figure, wondering what she might look like in her human form. She was a beautiful wolf, despite her thinness caused by malnourishment.“So… this bed is yours?” she asked, her agitation clear.“Blind, not stupid—remember?” I responded sharply, sitting beside her and pulling the tray closer so she could eat in her wolf form. “Eat.”“By the smell, there’s

POV: CALLIEThe warmth of his body nearby brought a strange new sensation. I felt oddly safe and comforted, and it didn't take long for exhaustion to take over. I was transported to the Goddess’s temple, a mental sanctuary I had created as a child—a safe haven based on my mother’s descriptions from one of her stories. But something was different. A powerful presence seemed to accompany me. I sniffed in its direction and realized I wasn’t alone—Aaron was with me.“You shouldn’t be here!” I said sharply, as the veil was lifted from my eyes, allowing me to clearly see the beauty of the man from my visions. He was even more striking than I remembered, exuding power with a single green-gray glance. There wasn’t time to dwell on his presence; the Goddess revealed a vision unlike any I had seen before. Wolves were torn apart, reduced to their primitive instincts—sick, starving, manipulated by others to spark war between species. The Lycan King moved to defend me, and only then did I realize

POV: CALLIEA tear rolled down my face as the image of my mother formed in my mind. I could only envision her features through her descriptions, but her scent was unique—protective and full of love.“Hold on to those memories. Remember the touch.” Aaron continued, and I felt his human hands gently brushing over my fur. “Feel my hand. Try to sense the warmth of my touch beyond your fur.”I raised my muzzle toward the sky, letting the rain wash over my lupine face. I inhaled deeply, allowing myself to be guided by the best memories of my mother—her warm embrace, the way she dried my tears with the back of her hand, the kisses she’d shower on my cheeks, and the tickles on my ribs. The memories began to replace the fear of the pain I anticipated. I was afraid of becoming human again because I knew she would no longer be there to give me comfort.“You’re safe, Callie. It’s just you, your human self, and your wolf standing side by side,” Aaron whispered.Under the heavy rain, pulsating ener

POV: CALLIE“You shouldn’t stroke my mouth like that, little wolf.” Aaron replied playfully.“It’s how I see you.” I answered shyly, ready to pull my hands away, only to feel his hands grasp mine, keeping them in place.“Go on,” the Alpha whispered, guiding my fingers around his eyes, tracing the shape of his eyebrows and down his cheeks.I got onto my knees, leaning closer, letting both hands explore his face. One hand wandered into his hair while the other moved lower, finding what I recognized as his ear.“Callie… It’s hard to control myself when you touch me like this, standing naked in front of me with your breasts so close to my face,” the Alpha growled hoarsely, his restraint evident.I quickly sat back, fumbling around for the towel. Finding it, I covered myself.“I’m sorry!” I blurted out, embarrassed and probably flushed from the awkward situation. “Do you have any clothes for me?”“Hmm… We still need to work on your sense of touch, remember?” he said in a teasing tone. POV: AARONI thought I would struggle with the transformation of the blind wolf, but to my surprise, her lupine side was so exhausted and willing to yield to her human essence that it didn’t resist the connection. With simplicity, I guided Callie’s mind through her limited perceptions, using touch as her guide and her memory as the key to reclaiming her human physical form.Tears mixed with the raindrops that began to caress her now-exposed skin. I was awestruck by her beauty; I would never have imagined that this blind, mistreated, and skinny wolf could transform into such a stunning woman.Though she needed to gain some weight, I was captivated as I observed her, my gaze softly tracing her body, admiring each delicate and perfectly sculpted curve. Her slightly rounded hips and slim waist created an elegant and alluring silhouette. I noticed a few scars etched into her skin, which only intrigued me more. I felt a compelling urge to trace them, admiring her strength in enduring so muc

POV: AARON“Aah, little wolf, did you forget that I ran my tongue over your naked body not long ago?” I smirked, watching her timid reactions as her face turned completely red. “And I liked what I saw.”Embarrassed, she blushed deeper, fiddling with the purple tips of her hair.“King Lycan, you shouldn’t have done that… Your mate and the pack wouldn’t approve!” Callie murmured, biting her lip and nervously wringing her hands. “I can manage the bath on my own.”As she passed me, feeling her way around, I grabbed her wrist, bringing her hand to my lips. I kissed the tips of her fingers, letting them gently graze my mouth.“I don’t have a definitive mate yet.” I growled, lightly nipping at her skin. Her scent was intoxicating, and my wolf bristled at her slightest movements. “What are you afraid of, wolf?”Swallowing hard, she trembled slightly, running her hands nervously through her hair. With a sigh, she finally said:“I don’t want to hold on to anything in this life. I don’t want to

My hands moved down to her hips, where her body trembled under my touch, and my wolf growled with excitement.I followed the curve of her legs, massaging as I went, then moved back up to her buttocks. His kiss, though fierce and dominant, stirred longing within me. I touched my swollen lips, overwhelmed by the lingering sensations, and sighed as tears welled up.“Did I hurt you?” he asked, his voice intense yet laced with a hint of concern.“Your touches are gentle.” I confessed, my feelings a confusing mix. “Please, King Lycan, this kind of pain, I couldn’t bear.”“Pain from my touch?” Aaron seemed as bewildered by my words as I was.I shook my head, trying to stifle my sobs, afraid of being punished as I was in my pack. The more I cried and begged, the more they hurt me.“To have a reason to live, only for it to be taken away from me again!” I said through clenched teeth, a mix of anger and sorrow filling my voice.I turned my face away, feeling the weight of his body. POV: CALLIEI explored the cave we were in, sniffing around to make sure there was no danger. I followed the sound of water, dipping my hand in and feeling its comfortable, inviting temperature.“Yulli?” I called, but the witch seemed unconscious, having used the last of her strength to partially heal the poison that the Dark God had spread through my body.I slid out of my clothes, stepping into the water, feeling its gentle caress against my skin. I scrubbed my body, desperate to rid myself of the scent of Dante and Nocturnus. The darkness that clung to them was repulsive. I needed to figure out what to do next—the Supreme Alpha was the father of my child, the same man from my dreams, seemingly my destined mate. But why did I want to run from him? Why did I feel the need to escape? Aaron wasn’t like the man in my dreams. Had I simply idealized him?“So many ques

If they are found guilty of treason, I will judge and punish them personally.”“But, Lycan King, we didn’t do any.” The prisoner started to speak, but immediately fell silent when my fierce eyes locked onto him.“Please, Alpha, you can’t possibly believe my son is a traitor… This she-wolf disappeared for days and suddenly shows up with these accusations!” the elder pleaded, glaring at Kemilly, who growled threateningly.“Kemilly left under my command. She has served me for years and was once even considered for Luna. Show some respect, elder.” I growled,

POV: CALLIE“How did you manage to break free?” I asked the witch, alarmed.“I’m not an ordinary sorceress. Besides, Dante isn’t as smart as he thinks. The mana stone that repels magic needs to be bathed in pure cave water to maintain its power. I guess he doesn’t know that.” She let out a soft laugh. “And he wanted to become the Supreme Alpha with such foolishness.”“Yulli, why are you helping me? You know you’re putting yourself at risk… You could escape without me. I’m blind…” I sighed. “I’ll only slow you down!”“Why do you think I’m here?” The sorceress gently touched my hand, and I felt the chains vibrate as they unlocked. “The ancestors sent me to you. My inner beast roared for his mate, yet whenever we were physically together, he became fierce and defensive toward her.“Why is your wolf rejecting me?” she asked, confused, lowering her head, sadness in her voice.“I don’t understand, Lycan King. I thought you wanted me. Did I misunderstand?”Something about the way she spoke felt off, but I still didn’t know what h

He actually seems to like this blind she-wolf.”I ran my hands through my hair, stepping in front of the mirror.Despite the magic and my identical appearance to Callie, I could see. Those who looked at me, however, only saw blind eyes, unable to perceive the magical veil cloaking my face, shaping it into that of the insignificant little wolf.“Enjoying your new look?”Jaxon entered the room, laughing.“You look even better like this!”“Go to hell, Beta!” I growled, irritated, glaring at him through the mirror’s reflection.“What do you want? Her mind raced through the next steps, thinking of how to return to the Alpha.I nibbled lightly on his back, making him sigh, then trailed kisses upward, inhaling his addictive, woody scent. My nails glided over his shoulders and arms in slow, rhythmic strokes.“I still can’t give you the answers you want, but please, Alpha... Here, at least, can we just be you and me?”Aaron turned, cupping my face with his open palm. I let my head rest against him, closing my eyes to absorb his warmth.“Please...”His hand slid to the nape of my neck, pulling me forward, guiding my body onto his. He bit my stomach and ran his tongue along my hip, slowly moving inward as I sank down onto his length, inch by inch.

Why won’t you talk to me outside this dream?”“The followers of that so-called god, Nocturnus.”The moment I mentioned his name, sharp, needle-like pain pierced my mind. I groaned in agony, my legs giving out beneath me before I collapsed—only to be caught by the striking man in front of me.“The person who came to you isn’t...”I screamed as the pain became unbearable, a violent sensation rising in my stomach. However, the same had happened in my dream.“Callie?” I called. She kept her head down in silence.“Why isn’t she speaking?”“I couldn’t say, Alpha. I managed to repel it, but I think there were side effects.”“Bring a stretcher here, now!” Ryan shouted, issuing a command. “I’m going to take care of you.”“I don’t need a stretcher; just examine the wounded area.
