Chapter 11

STACEY POV

I splash my face with water and wash the ruined makeup off my face. My eyes bright red and puffy from crying. I had had the feeling something was wrong with the men; I had a suspicion that they had met their mate, but I had forced it to the back of my mind pretending it couldn’t be true. however, as the words fell from Zantes mouth, I felt like I was being crushed. It all made sense, Maggie was their destined mate which meant sooner or later I would be removed from the situation and sent back to the school territory. Unless Zante allowed me to live on the territory and maybe I might meet my mate.

“No. We have everything we need here since when we’re you so defeated. Remember what you wrote in your diary” Crimson purred in my mind. She was right though, I had everything I needed, and I wasn’t about to give it up for anyone, not even their mate. Crimson was begging for me to shift, making arms have a coating of her and my claws extended. She needed to run but I couldn’t trust her to not run to find the men. Sensing this she turns her back on me and disappears into the back of my mind.

I head up to my room and inform the staff that I would have dinner in my room, I needed time to think of a plan and I needed to be alone. I suddenly realise that they were on their way to the Darkmoon pack, to Alpha Jase. I scramble for my phone and hesitantly press the call button. If Zante found out it was me that got Maggie kidnapped, I would be sent back to the school immediately.

“Alpha Jase” he answered.

“Alpha, it’s Stacey, there is a problem” I said quietly. I hear him take a breath, causing me to clench my teeth. “Turns out the omega you took care of for me is Zante’s destined mate. I think he is on his way to you. He knows she’s gone.”

“How did he find out” he growled, I could here his canines extend, but he didn’t question the fated part. I pause, my hand slightly trembling. “Stacey, you best answer me quickly, otherwise I will tell Zante it was you immediately and you can kiss goodbye to your perfect life”

“I guess his surveillance system was better than I anticipated. I don’t have access to the city security cameras, but I don’t know how he found out so quick. He’s not marked.” I say, it was true I hadn’t checked to where the cameras were round the city. Jase growls down the phone and I feel my knees buckle underneath me. I grab the edge of my bed as I steady myself, waiting for anything from Jase.

“I’ll make you a deal, I won’t tell Zante it was you, however you have to do something for me” he hisses, he wasn’t as strong as Zante but the authority that pulsed from him, even over the phone was crushing.  “Whatever happens after today, you will be forever in my debt. You will do whatever I ask of you. You understand?”

I swallow hard and return his gaze before agreeing. I’m pretty sure I had just agreed to me being Alpha Jase’s sex toy but I couldn’t be sure what he meant, and I felt too intimidated to ask. Jase hangs up the phone without saying goodbye and is it in my room trembling from what could happen. I hoped Jase would keep this secret but I couldn’t 100% trust him.

JASE POV

I mind link Damon and Leo and ask them to join me outside the pack house.

“Zante is on his way; he knows we have Maggie.” I say and I hear them hiss. “We need to be ready for them, if I know Zante, he will not come in all guns blazing. We need to make sure we are not disarmed by this. Gather some fighters and get them stationed around the territory and they need to inform us as soon as Zante arrives.” I chose not to tell them about Zante being destined to Maggie

Damon races off and Leo joins me to get Maggie, we needed to hide her. I drag Maggie from the dining room as Leo wraps a blindfold over her eyes. We hadn’t planned for Zante to find out so quickly and it couldn’t completely blame Stacey.

I push her into the back of the car with me, before Leo jumps in the car and floors it. I knew where I was taking her, and she would be safe. I mind-link Damon and tell him to place some fighters at the hut I’d built to keep prisoners to interrogate them, on the edge of the territory.  I needed to mark her, preferably before Zante got here. I press Maggie up against the seat of the car and hear a small whimper leave her lips. My cock twitched and I feel my canine elongate piercing my bottom lip.

I run my teeth over her skin and nip at the spot between her shoulder and neck. Realising what I was doing Maggie started to thrash against me. I climb on top of her, pinning her legs between my thighs. I pull a syringe from my pocket, and I inject her. I watch as her body relaxes slightly. I had to be prepared as Maggie could be incredibly strong and when she realises what I’m about to do she could shift, I didn’t give her enough to completely paralyse her, just enough to stop the shift.

“Stay still bitch” I shout as I slap her across the face. I flip her over, pull my tie off and wrap it around her wrists behind her back. I stare at her for a moment and run my hands over her ass and up her back to her neck. Pressing my groin into her ass I lean over her, allowing some of my body weight to pin her in place. Maggie screams, so I wrap my hand around her mouth to stifle the sound. I glance up to Leo, who was watching through the rear-view mirror.

“Drive Faster!!” I shout at him as he slows down without realising. He presses the gas; Maggie and I are pinned against the seat. I pull her against me force her head to the side exposing her neck. She writhes against me trying to pull away but thanks to the drug I gave her, she was powerless against me. I run my tongue over her neck and pierce her neck with my canines. Maggie lets out a feral cry as I bite harder, cementing my mark on her. I watch as her eyes roll to the back of her head, and she becomes limp in my arms from my mark.

Once at the hut, I pull all the curtains shut and carry her down to the basement and put her on one of the beds in the cell. The basement was built for my type of interrogation, the walls were soundproof and had two separate cells for prisoners.

“Mark her Leo!!” I shout at him. Leo rushes over and pulls Maggie towards him and marks her on her thigh. I was glad the basement was soundproof as I reckon the whole town would have heard Maggie scream out. Leo removes Maggie’s wrist restraints and locks the cell and leaves. I yank the stairs up and lock them in place so she couldn’t get out. Rolling a rug over the basement hatch, we meet Damon and the fighters outside and they position themselves hidden around the hut.

“You’ve marked her??” Damon splutters, looking at the blood on Leo’s and my mouth.

“Yes, we had to, it will be harder for Zante to take her. It won’t take long for my mark to start making her forget who her destined mate is. Her scent will change almost immediately so Zante won’t be able to find her by that,”
