We enter Alpha Jase’s territory and pull over, we intended to shift and enter quietly through the woods and being in wolf form would make this easier. I know he would have fighters out on patrol around the edge of the territory just for safety sake. “Kodan? You ready?” I question. He blinks and nods. “Heath will watch Brody, it will be fine” I reassure him and feel him relax through the bond. Brody suddenly catches my eye and darts off in the opposite direction without even looking back. Heath stares at Lupin, not entirely sure of what to do.

“We need to find Maggie but I need to be with Brody” Heath says to me. “Follow him Lupin can go look through the pack house” Heath shoots off after him, as Lupin sneaks towards the pack house. Heath runs alongside Brody occasionally glancing over at him, he didn’t break his gaze from the horizon, his nose twitching as he changes direction.

“What’s wrong?” Heath mind links Brody.

“Something isn’t right, she’s not at the pack house. “ Brody suddenly stops and his eyes go a weird shade of orange, I had never seen him do this before. Brody’s fur stands on end and a growl leaves his mouth. “Someone has their hands on our mate” he shoots off towards the beach with sheath hot on heels behind him.

DAMON POV

I can’t believe they marked Maggie without me, I grumble to myself as I stand guard outside of the hut she was in. Jase and Leo had returned back to the pack house to wait for the inevitable arrival of Zante. I glance over my shoulder at the basement hatch and shake the thought of marching down there and taking her myself.
