Chapter 23 I Don't Get It

"Why Enrique? Why do you need to kiss Alex on stage? Why?" I was crying all over again because of what he already told me.

"I need to, we need to catch the attention of the public that's why, but believe me Katie, I love you." He said and hugged me.

"Don't you ever do that Quen, if you do, you'll lose me." That was an open ended statement.

"Because I don't really get it, then why don't you just admit to the public that you have a girlfriend, Alex have suitor now, right? Please Quen." I think I was cool for sounding like asking a favor, I deserve it, I am the girlfriend.

"Please, understand me this time." He said.

"No, I don't understand Enrique." I said.

"You are in the showbiz industry too right? Therefore you know this so well, you have an issue like this before Katie, but I saved you." Is he emphasising the phrase ‘I saved you’?

"Did I told you to save me? You just do it. I didn't ask for it Enrique." I said before leaving him in the coffee shop, I have a meeting with the Team Sha, were going on a vacation because I think coach Sha wants us to be closer to each other.

"Hey what's up sweet heart, you are late." Mama Sha welcomed me.

"Hi team, this is Katie. The youngest on the team so I am expecting that all of us here would take care of her, is it clear?" Mama Sha said before leaving me with my other team mates.

"Hi, I am Camille." The girl beside me said and offered her hands on me.

"Hello, it's nice meeting you." I said before I saw Crystal.

"Crys!" I immediately called her.

"OMG! Katie! We're on the same team! I guess we're now magkalaban hehe." She said before she sat beside me.

"We're magkalaban Crystal, ever since." I said before she laughed hard, when the bonding experience with them was done, I just go home, I couldn't find Gabrielle, meaning she didn't choose coach Sha.

I was just hoping that Enrique was not on my condo anymore right now, I can't go and hang out with my friends because I need to take care of my voice.

"Hija, you're here. Do you want to eat? Or do I need to prepare the bed for you?" My Yaya asked.

"Is Enrique not there?" I asked before entering the condo.

"Yes, he already got home. So, do you wanna eat?" She asked again.

"I don't need anything, just go to sleep Nanang, I can manage." I said before going on my room, I was just really mad, I wanna remove this photos of ours on my wall, this was like the instax mini's.

I get my hands out of it because there was a person calling on my phone.

Gubgub is calling...

"Hey, Gabby? I've missed you." I said when I answered her call.

"I missed you too Katie, how are you?" She asked.

"I'm fine, just tired with the bonding session earlier." I said.

"Oh really? What team are you?" She asked me, we are not on the same team.

"I'm part of Mommy Sha's team, how about you?" I asked her back.

"Xiah's Team, you know Xiah was so cool, she's like a sister to all of us specially, 18 are on the team, only 2 are the boys, so there are 16 girls." She said.

"Gabby? Would you mind if I ask you something?" I asked.

"No, sure you can ask me anything you want." She replied.

"What are the categories or policies, mechanics on the competition, sorry I didn't read the email carefully, I was busy minding the other things today." I said.

"So there are 18 members on the team, the one who was chosen at the blind auditions. Then, we will have a battles, 2 artist per battles, so there will be 9 left and also 9 eliminated. From that, we will have the Knockouts, we'll be divided by 3, so 9 ÷ 3 = 3. That will be the Top 3, they'll advance on the Semi Finals, then coaches will pick one that really stand out on his/her eyes. Each team will have their own top 1. From that again, they will the get the Singing Voice Idol Top 4, Team Sha, Xiah, Leon, and Lani." She explained.

"It was really a long competition Gabby." I said.

"Yeah, but I know that it will be worth it." She said.

"So, see you on grand finals?" She raised her brows while laughing.

"Hey, I'm not expecting too much. I know that I am not that good." I said.

"Kate, let's change the atmosphere. What happened to you and Quen? Are you not okay? I've seen his latest I*******m stories, I didn't saw you anymore, it was all Alexandria." Gabby said.

"Don't say bad word." I sarcastically said.

"So, there is a problem. Could you tell that to me? I'll respect if you can't." She said.

"He said that he's going to kiss Alex in public, on their concert. It give me so much pain, you know? Many people were posting that photo on social media and on news paper too. On TV. Then there will be interviews, what if Quen will fell in love with Alex? What will happy to me? I can't lose him. I want to be with him until forever." I said.

"Katie, there is no forever. We are on the showbiz industry, I think we just need to have some understanding with our partners. Understand." She said.

"How much I want to understand but it was causing me so much pain, what should I do now? Should I let Enrique go?" I don't know what to do, I still want to disturb my parents on Canada just to seek some advice, I can do this by myself.

"You should decide on it, not me Katie. It's you." Gabrielle said.

"Yeah, but in your perspective, if I was you. What should you do?" I asked my friend.

"I will fix it, me and my partner will fix it because we don't want to let go of each other."
