I ran my hand through my silky hair for the umpteenth time. Pacing around my chamber restlessly as thoughts of what might have happened to her disturbed me.

Why was I suddenly so concerned about a random new maid? I didn't know. Do I want her protected? Absolutely.

I couldn't explain the pulling effect that attracted me to her. Ever since Luxina had brought her to deliver that box, she had been occupying my mind. And now, I was so worried about her.

“What the hell happened to her?” I asked myself as I sat in my study.
