Confession.

Anastasia's POV.

Murmurs filled my ears as consciousness slowly greeted me. I groaned as my eyes parted slowly.

“Does she always have to faint?”

“I'm just as confused as you are, friend.”

“And I thought they said she was a werewolf?”

“Probably just a weakling omega. Heard those ones are very useless and even weaker than humans.”

A round of laughter was what made my eyes snap open fully. I stood up immediately.

My gaze landed on the group of older healers sitting around a table just a few feets away from me. They all stared at me, silent like they had seen a ghost.

I ignored them, turning my attention to what brought me to this position. Oh, I remember!

Mama Buella! I slid off the mat, ignoring the pain that shut through the back of my head. I headed for the place I knew was where Mama Buella’s mat always is. But upon reaching there, there was only a mat, no old ill lady. Sadness struck me from within.
