Anastasia's POV.

I was made to fight the urge to run through the hallway, up the stairs to the Alpha's chambers. The stares were just too much! I thought my stay at the infirmary would make their curiosity of me die down but right now, it only seemed to increase it.

I heaved a sigh of relief once I walked out of the hallway towards the stairs. The amount of servants had reduced significantly and I quickly ascended the stairs.

My heart raced as I got nearer and nearer to the Alpha's chambers. What did he want to see me for? I know I haven't gotten a chance to thank him for his help and support for me but I wanted that to be on my terms and not for me being called unexpectedly.

I fiddled with my fingers as I stood a few feet away from his door, glancing at the bulky High guard that stood at the entrance of the room.

Gaining some courage, I moved towards the guard. “The Alpha called for me.” I told him.

He didn't respond, instead, his eyes wandered before him and I knew he was
