Edward and I had originally agreed to name Jenny my inheritor. However, after what happened, sparing her life and keeping her out of prison for Edward’s sake was already a huge act of mercy on my part.

There was no way I was letting her inherit anything from me. Not a single cent of my money would go to her!

“Molly, thank you. In the end, I owe you my life. I’ll make sure Jenny returns the house and everything in it as soon as possible,” Edward said.

Everything I had given them was worth millions. Once they sold it all, they would have more than enough to pay off their debts, but they would never again live the kind of carefree life where money was not a concern.

Knowing a gambler, though, I figured it was nearly impossible for them to change. Gambling was one of those things that he or she could never stop once they started, and I would like to see if they could truly quit after this.

What I did not expect was for my actions to push Edward to the brink of death.
