Chapter 5

Edward stared in disbelief at the chaos unfolding before him.

“Unbelievable! If I hadn’t come, would you have beaten her to death? Have you no regard for the law? She’s your aunt! Let her go this instant!” Edward shouted.

“Dad, what are you talking about? First, you buy houses and gifts for your mistress, and now you expect us to believe this woman is actually our aunt? Stop trying to fool me and Marcus!” Jenny scoffed in disbelief.

“Smack!”

A loud slap landed on Jenny’s face.

“How did I raise such evil, lawless children? What did I do to deserve this?” Edward roared.

“Is she really our aunt?”

Marcus still could not believe it, even as I was being taken to the hospital. It was not until Edward showed him the years of money transfers I had made to him that Marcus finally shut his mouth.
