“Good, now also remind yourself why.” I said, glaring over my shoulder. I couldn’t understand why he was so upset with me. Did he really think I was doing this all for Lucien? The man tried to abduct me, for heaven’s sake! Why would I ever favor him? Moreover, even if I was favoring him, I would own up to it. I would never use Bella as an excuse to do it, he should know at least that.
I heard him sigh in defeat as I walked to Bella’s room. Ignoring his sulking figure behind me, I raised my hand up to knock on the door. We were patiently waiting outside the room but Bella never arrived. Frowning, I knocked again but was again greeted by silence.
