It took me a while to compose myself before I decided it was time to head out. Taking a deep breath in, I swallowed the lump in my throat. Kissing Marcus had opened the floodgates to my emotions, and I only had myself to blame. Although he kissed me back with equal fervor, I somehow felt like he didn’t want me. It was perhaps because he had asked for some space and I didn’t give him that.
