The day of the engagement arrived sooner than I’d wished for. Before I knew it, the house was filled with various staff members setting up the lights, music and a podium. Marcus was busy taking care of the arrangements, barely allowing me a glimpse of him.
While all of this was in process, Amanda had sent Andy, one of the staff members to help me get ready. She was a very sweet girl who was skilled enough to effortlessly bring out the best out of my appearance for the evening. Upon her advice, I had foregone my wish of leaving my hair down and instead let her tie it up in a messy bun. With strands of hair loosely hanging by either side of my face, I stared back at the reflection in the mirror.
