Xander's POV.

I turned toward backwards immediately I heard more voices speaking in the background. It was obvious that there was a mistake somewhere. There was nothing wrong with me other than the fact that I was trying to decipher the next move.

Twenty wolves had come out of their hiding places and I had to one way or the other make sure that they were dead. I wouldn't have anything to do with people who didn't have the capacity to kill me. However, I wouldn't still underestimate them. They were known to be powerful so I was going to respect that.

"Are you really sure that you're here to kill me or you're here to play with me? I mean, I know it's not easy but you need to try again. There's absolutely nothing that will happen if you just go back and tell Trent what I said. I don't think that you possess the ability to do the evil that he wants you all to do.
