Xander's POV

I fumed as I returned to my pack. I knew that Ember had a lot attached to her. Why did she insist on going back to Trent? Trent was not a good man. He was only good to her because he loved her.

The moment he knew that she had tricked him, he would destroy her. It was only painful that no one would be able to save her at that time. I wonder why there was a lot of resistance on her part to follow me.

Could I say that guilt had turned into attachment in her case? That wasn't the kind of person I knew her to be and I didn't want a situation where I would have to fight with Trent.

My phone rang and I flipped the screen open immediately. "Where are you?" I asked Liam. He was supposed to meet me on the way so that we planned how to get my kids since Ember was proving stubborn. Trent was probably not going to allow her to leave.
