Freedom comes

Ember's POV.

Relief flooded my soul and I was sure that I was finally going to be free. I could almost taste it.

"Who the hell are you to think that you could dictate what I want to do?" Trent fired at Xander

Xander stood with his legs wide apart and a small smile on his face. "I don't know what you want from me but I'll have you know that there's probably no way that you can kill my mate without also being killed." He replied.

I sighed in relief again. It was refreshing to hear him call me his mate. I didn't care about a thing, and I began to untie the bounds on my hands.

People's attention were away from me. I was grateful for the distraction. "Are you sure that there is nothing wrong with you, Xander." Trent inquired and I sighed. That was a slap on Xanders face as an Alpha. He wasn't supposed to be called by his name. I knew that he was only tolerating this because he was trying to save me.

"You dare call me by my name?" Xander replied as I expected and the whole pack became st
