Escape Route

Ember's POV.

I stepped screaming when I landed on a couch. My head reeled from the contact and I held in my pain. I turned to see that a few people were already waiting there for me. He was not well known to me but I didn't feel like anything was wrong.

"Luna, the Alpha said that I should take you away." The man said impatiently while gazing around to stop himself from being taken too like I was.

I only stared at him calmly and sighed.

"What's your name?"

"Scott, I am the newest guard in the fold. I work undercover for Alpha Trent too, he mustn't catch us here. He's on his way here as I speak so we better hurry." He urged me and I believed him instantly. It was evident that he was also panicking.

It was risky for Trent to find us here. If he did, he was going to get us killed mercilessly.

"I know, right? I'm tired." I replied and he picked me up instantly, threw me over his shoulder and began to walk deeper into the hole.

The fear of encountering such a rabid wolf that we did the f
