The next day came by, I immediately checked my phone to see if the issues circulating online were removed, but it was not.

I breathed heavily after reading some harsh comments about him and me. I am not sure what I feel because I am more worried about him.

Three knocks from my door made me jolt up in surprise before I composed myself, “W-Who is it?”

“It’s me, Kyrie, can you open the door?” I heard Alex’s voice outside, which forced me to stand up.

Hearing his voice somehow calmed my well-being before I jogged towards the door to open it for him.

“Sorry about last night.” Alex started when he saw me, “We’re supposed to go out for dinner, but I was so preoccupied—Kyrie?”

I don’t know what came over me, but my mind and heart agreed that we wanted to do this. I hugged him tightly.

His body stiffened but relaxed before embracing me tightly. For some reason, it was a relief to be around his arms. It's warm and comforting.
