Elena POV

"Of course," I replied, my heart skipping a beat.

"Do you believe in fate?" Alex asked, his eyes searching mine.

I pondered the question, thinking about the twists and turns that had brought us together. "I think I do," I said finally. "I believe that some things are meant to be and that we were meant to find each other."

Alex smiled, his eyes shining with warmth. "I believe that too," he said. "I feel like I've found my home in you, Elena."

My heart melted at his words, and I knew at that moment that I felt the same way. We stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, feeling like we were exactly where we were meant to be.
