I turned slowly, swinging my head in Aiden’s direction with my brows furrowing in confusion. At that moment, I wondered how long he had been listening to the conversation between me and Ethan since he wasn’t inside all along.

Ethan arched a brow to the left, staring intently at him. “Is there anything wrong with that? Now that I think about it, you have been acting strange these days. Don’t forget that you told me that you didn’t want the position!”

Aiden forced out a smile. “Really? Did I say that”

Ethan exchanged fleeting glances with me before he shrugged as his shoulders slumped. “I don’t understand you anymore cousin. I have always wanted to give you this position and you declined numerous times. I don’t mean to be harsh but what exactly is your problem?”
