Ethan's P.O.V

I watched as her lips parted and slowly, her eyes widened before she muttered. "Ethan!"

"What did you do that for!” I yelled, totally at a loss for words to say and at the same time, trying to place one and two together because how in the world did everything go from me trying to surprise her to her hitting me with a plank?

She expelled a sigh of relief, placing her hands on her chest before she drew a ragged breath.

I sucked in between my teeth, gripping her by the shoulders gently.

"What is wrong, Junia? Why are you outside by this time?" I asked her while she raised her head as her eyes met mine.

She prised my hands off her shoulder, eyeing me before she tucked the strand of hair that fell on her face behind her ear then slowly she cleared her throat. "I should be asking you that question! What are you doing outside my house at this time?"

I glanced behind her, staring intently at the house whose light kept flickering. "Something happened right?"
