Chapter 83

Alexis's POV

I struggled against the guard’s grip, but it was no use. He was much stronger than me, and my feeble attempts to free myself only seemed to amuse him. I saw another guard who had possibly been patrolling nearby came to meet us.

“What is going on here?” He asked with a superior tone.

“We caught her trying to escape.” One of the guards replied with respect.

I knew instantly the guard was in a higher position.

“She broke the lock and almost got out.” He explained further.

“Return to your position, I will take her to the Alpha.” He said and the other two guards left immediately.

I knew there was no point in struggling at this point.

“Follow me, now.” He said to me as he motioned me to walk ahead of him.

I had no choice but to obey, I knew I was caught and nowhere to turn to. I have alerted the whole mansion and the guards will be more alert now.
