Chapter 88

Richard's POV

It's been days since the Rogue attack and the pack has been on lockdown ever since then. The Elder Council will be meeting soon again to vote for the next Alpha. I felt uneasy like things were about to take a different turn and it wasn't going to be easy for us.b

The morning sun struggled to break through the thick canopy of trees surrounding the Shadow Pack's territory. I could feel the weight of it all pressing down on me. The work I and Julia had done so far was about to be a waste if we did not take action. The lockdown imposed after the Rogue attack had made everything more difficult, but it was a good thing in a way.

Alex had to be Alpha, and we weren’t going to let a few elders stand in the way of that. I and Julia had a lot to do before the next meeting, and convincing the elders to vote in favour of Alex was at the top of that list. We have agreed to start doing that this morning. My mind was racing and unsettled for the outcome of meeting the other elders.
