XV. Who's who?

"Okay ba yung suot ko?" tanong ni Kaleb.
"Hindi. Mukha kang tanga. Ang panget mo talaga. Saang planeta ka ba galing? Sana ‘di ka nalang nabuhay." Sagot sa kanya ni Matt.
"Edi panget ka din pala bobo. Kambal tayo baka nakakalimutan mo." Sigaw sa kanya ni Kaleb.
Napasapo nalang ako sa noo ko. Nauna na akong lumabas sa kanila. Iniwan ko silang nagtatalo. Start na pala ng pasukan at ‘di ko namalayan na nakapag-enroll na pala yung dalawang baliw sa school na pinapasukan ko.
"Sol! Wait!" rinig kong tawag nila kaya inis akong huminto.
They are wearing polo na akala mo a-attend ng prom. May pa-shades-shades pang nalalaman kaya nagmukha tuloy silang bulag na musikero. Buti nalang talaga at ‘di ko sila ka-department. Kaleb is taking up AB English while Matt is taking up Information technology.
Hindi ko na sila sinamahan sa mga building nila dahil matatanda na sila. Naabutan ko naman yung lima sa room. Agad akong sinalubong ni Nix tsaka hinila sa tabi niya. Magkatabi din sina Chalk at Board—este Alvie habang sumasayaw naman yung dalawa abnormal.
"Nasaan na yung pinsan mo?" tanong ni Jedd.
"Bakit? Sino bang type mo sa kanila?" biro ko sa kanya.
"Di pa ba ako sapat?" dagdag naman ni Kollin kaya sinipa sya ni Jedd.
"Urur. Sabi na malaki yung pagnanasa mo sa akin eh." Diring-diri na sabi ni Jedd.
Nagtatawanan kami nung may kumatok sa pinto kaya napahinto kaming lahat. Yung babaeng nakita ko kina Alvie yung nasa pinto habang nakangiti ng napakalawak.
"Ang ganda talaga nya~" napatingin naman ako kay Jedd na naglalaway pa habang kilig na kilig dun sa babae.
Bigla namang tumayo si Nix tsaka binitawan yung kamay ko para makalapit sa kanya. May pinag uusapan sila sa pinto at maya-maya pa eh lumabas na ng room si Nix kasama yung babaeng yun na hindi man lang nagpaalam kung saan pupunta.
"Umuusok na ilong ni Sol." Sabay tawa ni Jedd kaya sinamaan ko siya ng tingin.
Natapos yung klase namin ng umaga pero hindi na nagpakita sa akin si Phoenix. Rinding-rindi na rin ako sa mga classmate namin na walang bukambibig kundi si Eunice Park. Nagpunta na sina Alvie sa food court pero ‘di ako sumama. Dumiretso ako sa rooftop. 2 pm pa naman yung sunod na klase ko kaya matutulog nalang ako.
Nakasandal ako sa railings ng rooftop habang busy sa pag-i-spazz. Biglang nag appear sa screen yung pangalan ni Nix kaya nilapag ko sa tabi ko yung phone ko hanggang sa maging missed call nalang. Naka-headset ako habang nakikinig sa boses ni Suho hanggang sa unti-unti akong makaramdam ng antok.
Mukha ni Nix yung bumungad sa akin pagmulat ng mga mata ko. He's sitting in front of me while his chin is resting on his hands na nakapatong naman sa legs nya.
"Ang tagal mong matulog." Sabi nya sabay ngiti.
Napatingin ako sa relo ko and shoot. It's already 15 passed 1. Gaano ba ako katagal nakatulog? 11:30 palang nung nagpunta ako dito. Aigoo~ di kasi ako nakatulog ng maayos kagabi.
"Let's eat. Kanina pa kita hinihintay na magising. Gutom na gutom na ako." Reklamo niya. Inayos niya yung dala nyang lunch box sa harapan namin.
"Hindi ka pa naglunch?" tanong ko sa kanya.
Umiling naman siya habang inaayos yung pagkain namin. Tumingin siya sa akin tsaka ngumiti ng sobrang tamis.
"Gusto ko kasing sabay tayo. I prepared all of it. I was calling you awhile aback but you didn't answer any. You're not with Alvie so I searched the whole University just to find out that you're here sleeping. Are you mad at me? I'm sorry. I hope you don't get it wrong. I'm not doing anything that I know you won't like." He explained.
Di nalang ako umiimik. Nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag. Pagkatapos naming kumain, hinatid na niya ako sa room namin. He even told me na sabay kaming uuwi mamaya.
"Sol." Bulong ni Alvie sa akin habang busy kami sa pagsusulat.
"Hmm?" busy ako sa pakikinig sa prof namin kaya di ko na sya nilingon.
“Kilala mo si Eunice?" tanong nya.
Nahulog yung ballpen ko kaya yumuko ako para pulutin. Nginitian ko siya tsaka nagkibit-balikat. Di ko naman kasi siya kilala. Ang alam ko lang ay maganda siya at close sila ni Phoenix. Lapitin naman talaga siya ng babae. Given na ‘yun eh. Pero hindi si Phoenix yung tipong mag-e-entertain ng kung sinu-sino lang. I'm just worried na hindi magtagal eh mahulog sa kanya si Nix—na hindi naman malabong mangyari.
Di ko tuloy maiwasang hindi mag-alala para sa amin. Nagiging paranoid na ba ako? Hindi naman kasi maitatangging mas bagay silang dalawa. Minsan nga naiisip ko na—
"Miss Santos!" sigaw ng prof namin kaya napatayo ako ng wala sa oras.
"Yes sir, bagay sila!" napatakip ako sa bibig ko. What did I just say?
Natahimik yung buong klase habang nakatitig sa akin. Seryoso ding nakatingin si Alvie at Ronan sa akin.
Mukha namang naguluhan yung prof namin dahil nakakunot na yung noo nya.
"If you're having a problem with your boyfriend, can you please set it aside for now?" mahinahong sabi nya.
"Sorry, sir." Mahina kong sagot.
Alvie squeezed my hand gently, giving me a reassuring smile. Napayuko nalang ako. Ano bang problema sa akin?
"Okay, let me repeat myself. As the editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, I want you to pass an article about the incoming school's foundation day. Am I being clear?"
Tumango nalang ako bilang sagot sa kanya.
Nasa labas na ng room si Phoenix nung matapos yung klase namin. Nakaakbay siya sa akin habang naglalakad kaming tatlo kasama si Alvie. Nagkukwentuhan kami tungkol sa concert ng Got7 nung madaanan namin yung dalawa kong pinsan na nasa pathway.
"Sino na nga ba si Matt sa kanila?" bulong ni Phoenix kaya natawa ako.
"Yung mukhang nag-a-adik." Bulong ko din kaya natawa siya.
"They both look like drug addicts." Naguguluhang tanong niya kaya ‘di ko na napigilan yung tawa ko.
Napatingin naman yung kambal at si Alvie sa amin with their unexplainable faces. Nagbulungan din silang tatlo tsaka nagsitawanan kaya kami naman ni Phoenix yung nagkatinginan. Siraulo ba sila?
