Chapter One Hundred And Nineteen

Adriana’s POV

I knew that it was childish of me but I had expected both of them to cry and then settle their disputes like the adults that they were once and for all, but you know what? They didn’t.

As soon as Massimo burst into tears, his father slowly walked over to him but just as he was about to touch him, Massimo shrugged off his hands, eyeing him like he was nothing but a pest.

“Don’t touch me, you infidel!” Massimo cried out, making both Michael and I roll our eyes simultaneously.

I wondered how long he wanted to go on with this hatred he had for his father. It was weird to me because I on the other hand would give anything, even if it meant jumping off a cliff, to only spend a day with my father, an hour even!

Looking at the old man, I saw a look seemingly close to sadness flicker across his eyes. He raised his hands again to touch Massimo but then dropped them after realizing that Massimo could snap at him, again.
