CHAPTER EIGHT
Tyla Point of view Tyla lay on her bed, finally sleeping after rolling multiple timesheets. She didn't think she had had enough sleep when the door suddenly opened forcefully. She turned around in bed and yawned out loud. She looked towards the door as she stretched herself, feeling reluctant about standing up yet. Her eyes met with Jonathan's, and this made her immediately sit up. She immediately no longer felt sleepy. A lady slowly walked into the room and stood beside Jonathan. Tyla noticed that she had a box in her hands. "Annie," Jonathan called as he took steps closer to her. She looked up at him, wondering what he had to say. "Get dressed," he ordered. "Your makeup artist is here to tidy you up." Staring up at him, she wished that she could kill him at that point. She gulped down hard on her saliva and nodded her head. As much as she wanted to ask Jonathan what the occasion was, she also didn't want to talk to him. "Greetings to you, ma'am," Miss Linda greeted Tyla as she proceeded further. Jonathan didn't wait for another minute. He turned around and left the room since he also had to get dressed for the meeting. "What is the occasion?" Tyla asked as the makeup artist tried to hide her facial bruises with makeup. "How come you are not aware?" Miss Linda asked with obvious surprise in her eyes. Tyla only smiled and bit her lower lip. "There is going to be an all-alphas meet, held in this pack today." Tyla's eyes slowly went wide open. Her father would be here today, and that was the reason Jonathan was trying to cover the mess he created on her face. Tyla knew that she had to deal with Jonathan as soon as possible. The makeup artist also picked Tyla's dress and styled her hair perfectly. She stood in front of the mirror and stared at her beautiful reflection. Tears dropped down her cheek, and she quickly dabbed it off with her face towel. She didn't want to ruin her makeup. She felt frustrated about the fact that she was treated unjustly in her past life, and now she was stuck in this helpless body and being treated worse. *** The grand Council Chamber was bathed in a warm, golden light, its majestic stone pillars rising like sentinels from the polished floor. The air vibrated with tension as the most powerful Alpha wolves in the land gathered for the meeting. At the chamber's heart, the Alpha Circle stood proud, a raised dais where the mighty leaders sat in a circular formation. Each Alpha occupied a throne-like chair, adorned with their pack's emblem, symbolizing their strength and authority. To the left of the Alpha King, the Eastern Pack's Alpha, sat with an air of quiet confidence, his piercing blue eyes surveying the room. On the right, Kaida, the Western Pack's Alpha, radiated an aura of calm intensity, his dark hair framing his determined face. Behind each Alpha, their trusted Betas stood at attention, forming the Beta Gallery. Their eyes never wavered from their leaders, their loyalty unwavering. Along the chamber's rear, the revered Elder wolves occupied the Elder's Bench, their wise faces etched with experience and knowledge. Elder Orion, the meeting's organizer, stood tall, his piercing gaze ensuring every detail was in order. As the last Alpha took their seat, the chamber fell silent. The weight of the meeting's purpose hung heavy, like a challenge waiting to be met. Alliances would be forged or broken, rivalries would simmer or boil over, and the fate of the packs would be decided. The Alpha King's eyes swept the circle, his gaze commanding attention. He searched the place for any signs of his daughter. He wanted to see her, but he stayed calm. Maybe after the meeting, she would be brought to him. Or he would demand to see her. The meeting proceeded, as the alphas discussed the growth of the pack. Alpha Kaida spoke about the growth of his pack. The Alpha King nodded, his eyes scanning the circle. "This growth is a testament to our leadership and unity. However, with expansion comes new challenges. What concerns do you bring to the table today?" Alpha Ryker, the Northern Pack's leader, frowned. "We've experienced increased border disputes with the Western Pack. Minor skirmishes, but potentially volatile." Kaida's expression turned thoughtful. "I apologize for any inconvenience. We've had issues with rogue wolves infiltrating our territory. Perhaps we can collaborate on border patrols?" He suggested. Alpha Jonathan leaned forward. He placed his hands on his beards and rubbed them as he cleared his throat, ready to speak. "I propose we establish a unified defense strategy, sharing intelligence and resources to protect our packs." "I'm willing to share resources, but I won't compromise my pack's autonomy. We must respect each other's sovereignty." Elder Orion, seated on the Elder's Bench, spoke up. "Respect and cooperation are key. Perhaps a joint committee to address border disputes and intelligence sharing?" The Alpha King nodded. "I agree. Let us form the Unity Committee, comprising representatives from each pack. We'll also schedule regular gatherings to maintain open communication." As the meeting progressed, the Alphas delved into issues of trade, territory, and the ever-present threat of rogue wolves. Through heated debates and thoughtful discussions. Just as the discussion progressed, Damon stepped into the hall and everywhere suddenly went chill. "I heard that my rightful mate is here," she spoke, his voice strong and confident. "I think you have to leave now," the alpha king ordered as he stood up to his feet. Damon ignored him and faced Jonathan. "Go in there and bring out my mate. That is the only way I would leave this place in peace and let you continue your meeting." The alphas began to murmur along themselves. Little wonder, he wasn't in the meeting. They all thought it was one of these days when he could not attend the meetings. Or he was probably not invited. Nobody asked because they cared less about his presence. "Who the hell is your mate?" Jonathan asked, still seated calm and comfortable. "Annie," Damon replied. "The woman you got married to." Jonathan scoffed. "You are a joker!" Jonathan's comment triggered Daman. He immediately attacked Jonathan with a punch on the neck. Jonathan also got triggered and retaliated with the punch. A heavy fight ensued between them both, and the alphas immediately intervened. "You have caused public disruption and disrespected the alphas," the alpha king began. "For that, Damon, you will be cast away from the kingdom forever and never to be seen in any packs. Ever again." Damon scoffed. He folded his fist and snarled as he walked closer to the alpha king, ready to challenge him. He wouldn't agree to the unjust verdict. "Remember, Alpha Damisus," Damon challenged. "The throne you sit on... the crown you wear. Whatever you are is me. You stole my position, Damisus, and you want to use the power to cast me away?" By this time, the murmuring in the room had increased, and the heat and tension were getting worse.CHAPTER NINETYLA"I am just too scared about what will happen to him," Jessica lamented. "It's been a week since the verdict, but I haven't gotten it off my head yet."Damon had challenged Damisus to the throne. There was a simple tradition to dethrone the king. You will have to challenge the sitting king to a war and kill him. Failure to kill the king would have you executed. "I wonder what gave him the guts to go ahead with that," I replied. I stared at Jessica. She lay on the bare floor with her back resting peacefully on the floor. She faced the ceiling and wrapped her hands around her body. She seemed really scared for her brother. "Damisus is my father," I reminded her. "I can't even support your brother and my supposed mate right now." I stood up from the bed where I was lying and began to pace the place. I bowed my head to the floor. Jessica still lay there on the bare floor without saying a word. "Why not try to talk him out of this?" I asked Jessica. She inhaled deepl
CHAPTER TENJONATHANI randomly remembered that I had taken a new wife. I hadn't really paid attention to her since she came into the pack house, because I had been too busy with a lot of things. After the last meeting with the alphas and the new issues that came up concerning alpha Damisus and alpha Damon. Everything had pilled up and made me so busy. I was not too concerned about their affair, since in didn't like any of the men. My only connection with them was my wives. I looked up at the wall clock, and I was surprised at how the time flew by so quickly today. I turned to the door and walked out of the room. Now that I was less busy and bored, it was time to play with my new wife. As I strolled towards her room, I could already feel myself getting ready for her. I was furious when I opened the door and saw Jessica in Tyla's room. I hated the idea of those women being together. I immediately ordered Jessica to leave. I had already explored every part of her body, so today, I wa
CHAPTER ELEVENTYLAThe dim flow of the moon seeped through the window, casting dark shadows across the cold, unwelcoming walls of my room. I sat curled up in a corner of my bed, my mind a storm of rage, fear and disgust. The wedding dress I'd been forced to wear earlier that day lay discarded on the floor like a shroud, its pristine white fabric now gray in the darkness.Jonathan, my treacherous stepbrother, had forced me into this marriage under the pretense of power and alliances, but I knew the truth - he just wanted control over me, my bloodline, and my former pack. The thought of our shared childhood only made his betrayal cut deeper. We had grown up together, and now he saw me as nothing but a tool for his ambitions. Worse still, he had no intention of honoring our union, treating me as nothing more than a pawn in his grand scheme. My hands clenched into fists as I recalled his words from earlier that evening:"You belong to me now, Tyla. And if you refuse to submit, I'll let m
CHAPTER TWELVE Jessica Point Of View The air in the pack's house was thick with tension. Servants moved quietly through the halls, avoiding eye contact as if sensing the storm brewing within its walls.I sat in front of my mirror, running a comb through my long dark hair absent mindedly, though I wasn't really brushing it- just going through the motions. The silence in my room pressed on me, suffocating me as the walls of this house had become my prison. I thought I was numb, that I had lost the ability to feel something beyond quiet resignation But when I heard Jonathan was taking in another wife, something inside me snapped. Not because I was in love with him nor was I jealous but because I felt nothing for him, I felt nothing for the man who forced me into marriage, nothing for the monster who turned my life into an unending nightmare. It was the unfairness of it all.He had taken me without my consent, without a care in the world for what I wanted. And now he was doing it again
CHAPTER THIRTEEN JONATHAN Point of View The battlefield was filled with corpses, the once proud warriors of the neighboring acl now reduced to lifeless bodies scattered across the blood -soaked ground. Smoke from burning hurts and trees curled into the sky, mixing with a thick smell of iron and death. I staggered through the remains of the village, my lungs burning with every breath, every step sending sharp pain through my battered body. My once-shining armor was now a ruined mess, crushed and stained with blood - some of it was mine. My right hand hung uselessly by my side, the deep claw marks from a rogue's attack still bleeding profusely. The battle was supposed to be an easy victory but, it had been a massacre. I had answered the call for help from the neighboring pack without hesitation, not just because of kindness or some sort of duty, but because securing alliances meant securing more power - that was the only reason. I had built a reign on dominance, intimidation, fear, an
CHAPTER FOURTEEN DAMON Point of View The night stretched long. I sat in my room, my mind heavy with thoughts. The flickering candlelights casted a golden glow in the room, adding an eerie ambiance to my already troubled mind. My muscles aches from the previous day's tension, my thoughts were far more exhausting than any other physical injuries I had sustained. I had come a long way since I was casted out of my pack. The night I had been exiled, I had been a broken man, crushed under the weight of betrayal. And now, after years of training, years of growing stronger, commanding rogue forces, and taking back control of my destiny - I had one sole purpose - one truth that drove every action and every decision. And that was, to kill the Alpha king..... Damisus. The man who had stolen my pack, my family, and my future. My mind burned with images of him sitting on the throne, ruling with arrogance, cruelty that only a tyrant could have. I couldn't wait for the moment when I finally finall
CHAPTER FIFTEEN TYLA Point of View Tyla paced the length of her chamber, her frustration mounting with every step. Jessica needed help, but she wouldn’t ask for it. She wouldn’t fight. She just accepted everything thrown at her, like she was waiting for the inevitable. That wasn’t normal. That wasn’t just fear—it was something more. Something deeper. She had been watching Jessica closely since she arrived, studying her movements, the way she flinched when Jonathan spoke, the lifeless stare in her eyes. The bruises along her arms and neck weren’t just from one beating. No, they were layered—old wounds, hidden beneath new ones. Jessica wasn’t just a prisoner in this mansion. She was a prisoner in her own mind. Tyla clenched her fists. No more standing back. She had to do something. But how? Jessica wouldn’t talk, and getting close to Jonathan was out of the question. That left only one option—the maids. The servants in the mansion were silent observers. They saw everything, heard ever
CHAPTER SIXTEEN DAMON Point of View I stood watch at the edge of my chambers, gazing at the shadowy landscape before me. The moon, a silver crescent, casted an eerie light upon the untamed territory. This was my kingdom, forged from the shadows—a place for the exiles, the outcasts and the warriors who have nowhere to go. Still, it wasn't enough. My true kingdom had been stolen from me. My birthright was taken away by the treachery of Damisus, and now, the pain of my sister's troubles tormented me like an open wound that refused to heal. Jessica. I clenched his fists at my sides, I had failed her. I had always vowed to protect her, but now she was trapped, shackled to a man who had no mercy. Johnson. And I did nothing. The name alone made my blood boil. The same man who had destroyed my life now owned my sister—my little sister Jess, who had once laughed so freely, who had dreamed of freedom and adventure. Now, she's a prisoner, trapped in the hands of a monster. And as if that wasn’
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SEVEN THIRD POV Three months had passed since the pack's last gathering, and the air was electric with excitement as the Cornrow Pack prepared to witness a historic moment – the coronation of their new Alpha King, Damon. The sun was setting over the pack's territory, casting a warm orange glow over the gathered crowd. The atmosphere was alive with chatter and laughter as the pack members eagerly awaited the ceremony. At the center of the gathering stood an elegant stage, adorned with intricate carvings and symbols of the pack's heritage. Before the stage, a beautifully crafted altar held a delicate, gemstone-encrusted crown, awaiting its new owner. The Luna ceremony was about to commence, and Tyla, Damon's chosen mate, stood poised and radiant, her long, dark hair cascading down her back like a waterfall of night. Her eyes shone with happiness as she gazed at Damon, who stood beside her, his eyes burning with adoration. Elara, the eldest elder, steppe
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SIX TYLA Point of View Days turned into weeks, and I remained holed up in my room, struggling to come to terms with what had happened. I had gotten my revenge on Jonathan, but it didn't feel as satisfying as I thought it would. Instead, I felt lost and uncertain. I had been so focused on my quest for revenge that I hadn't thought about what would come next. Now that Jonathan was out of the picture, I was left to pick up the pieces and figure out how to move forward. As the Alpha of the Cornrow Pack, I had a responsibility to my pack members. But I couldn't shake the feeling that I wasn't ready to lead. I was still reeling from the aftermath of my encounter with Jonathan, and I didn't know if I had the strength or the courage to take on the challenges that lay ahead. But as I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, I knew that I couldn't stay hidden away forever. I had to face my fears and my doubts head-on. I had to find a way to move forward, to heal and
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE JAY Point of View I walked away from Damon, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside me. I was worried about Jess, and I regretted the way I had treated her. I couldn't believe how I had ignored her, pushed her away when she needed me most. I had been so caught up in my own problems, my own guilt and shame, that I had neglected the one person who truly cared about me. Now, it seemed like it was too late. Jess was hurt, and I didn't blame her. I had broken her trust, and I didn't know if I could ever repair it. I felt a pang of sadness and regret. I wished I could go back in time, do things differently. I wished I could amend things, make it right between us. But it was too late now. The damage was done, and all I could do was hope that someday, somehow, Jess would be able to forgive me. I sighed, feeling a sense of despair wash over me. I had messed up, and now I had to live with the consequences. I walked back to my quarters, feeling lost and
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FOUR DAMON point of View I stood in front of the large map of our territory, studying it intently. We had been searching for the missing goods for weeks, and I was determined to finally recover them. I had been working tirelessly, following every lead, every hint, every rumor. I had spoken to every pack member, every ally, every enemy. And finally, after all this time, I had a breakthrough. I had received a tip from a reliable source that the missing goods were being hidden in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of our territory. I had assembled a team of my most trusted pack members, and we were ready to move. We arrived at the warehouse under the cover of darkness. We moved stealthily, our eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger. I gave a hand signal, and my team moved into position. We burst into the warehouse, our flashlights illuminating the dark space. And there, in the center of the room, were the missing goods. Crates of food, medi
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY Three I watched as Tyla packed up her bags, her movements swift and efficient. I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness, knowing that she was leaving. Damon walked into the room, his eyes locked onto Tyla's. "Hey, Jess, can I talk to you for a minute?" he asked, his voice soft. I nodded, curious. "What's up, Damon?" I asked, walking over to him. Damon's eyes locked onto mine, his expression serious. "I was wondering if you'd consider not going with Tyla back to the Cornrow pack," he said, his voice filled with emotion. I raised an eyebrow, surprised. "Why?" I asked, curious. Tyla spoke up, her voice soft. "Because, Jess, I need some time to heal. And everything in the Cornrow pack...it's just too much. It'll never let me heal." I nodded, understanding. I knew that Tyla had been through a lot, and the Cornrow pack was a constant reminder of her past. I couldn't blame her for wanting to get away from it all. "Okay, Tyla," I said, smiling softly. "I'll
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY Two DAMON point of View As we sat there, hands clasped together, the tension between us was palpable. It was as if the weight of our confessions had lifted a burden off our shoulders, and we were finally free to express our true feelings. I looked into Tyla's eyes, and I saw the same desire reflected back at me. Without a word, I leaned in, my lips brushing against hers in a gentle, tender kiss. Tyla's response was immediate, her lips parting to deepen the kiss. I felt a surge of passion run through me, and I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her close. We kissed for what felt like hours, our lips locked together in a passionate, all-consuming kiss. I felt like I was home, like I had finally found the missing piece of my soul. As we broke apart for air, I looked into Tyla's eyes and saw the same love, the same desire reflected back at me. Without a word, I stood up, pulling her to her feet, and led her to the bedroom. We made love with a passion, a
Chapter 171CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY ONE DAMON Point of View I sat in the dimly lit living room, my eyes fixed on the flames dancing in the fireplace. It had been a long day, filled with tension and drama. Jessica safely tucked away in bed, I had a chance to unwind. Jessica had complained about feeling sleepy, and I had asked Tyla to put her to sleep. Iwas starting to relax when, I heard a soft voice behind me. "Damon, can I talk to you?" I turned to see Tyla standing in the doorway, her eyes hesitant. I nodded, gesturing for her to come in. She walked over to the couch and sat down beside me, her eyes fixed on mine. "I wanted to talk to you about what happened today," she said, her voice soft. I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What about it?" I asked, my tone neutral. Tyla took a deep breath before speaking. "I know you're still angry with me, and I don't blame you. But I want you to know that I never chose Jonathan over you. I was just playing along with him, trying to get clos
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY TYLA Point of View I watched as Damon pulled out his phone and dialed a number. He spoke in a low tone, his words indistinguishable, but his expression told me that he was giving orders. Suddenly, a group of pack members appeared out of nowhere, their faces somber as they surveyed the scene before them. Damon nodded at them, and they quickly sprang into action. "Take Jessica's car and Jonathan's car away from here," Damon instructed, his voice firm. "Take them back to the cornrow pack." The pack members nodded, their movements swift and efficient as they worked to remove the cars from the scene. I watched, still trying to process everything that had happened. Damon turned to us, his eyes locking onto mine and Jessica's. "Let's get out of here," he said, his voice soft. "We'll take my car." Jessica nodded, her eyes still shining with tears. I followed her lead, my body feeling numb and disconnected. As we walked towards Damon's car, I couldn't help but
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY NINE JESSICA Point of View Tyla's eyes locked onto mine, and I could see the fear and resignation there. We both knew that Jonathan was beyond reason, and that our pleas were falling on deaf ears. We held each other tightly, waiting for the inevitable. I could feel Tyla's heart racing against mine, and I knew that she was bracing herself for the impact. I was doing the same, my mind racing with thoughts of our families, our friends, and our pack. We were going to leave them behind, and the thought was almost too much to bear. But then, just as Jonathan's finger was about to pull the trigger, we heard the sound of gunshots ringing out through the air. Tyla's grip on me tightened, and I felt her body tense up, preparing for the impact. But it never came. Instead, we heard Jonathan's cry of pain, and the sound of his body crashing to the ground. Tyla and I slowly opened our eyes, our hearts still racing with fear. That's when we saw him... Damon, standing
