CHAPTER ONE
Tyla Point of view "Happy Birthday, darling." I felt his warm lips on my cheeks as he gently kissed them. Slowly, I opened my eyes, and I smiled, seeing Damon, my boyfriend, with his beautiful features. He stood before me, while I lay on the bed smiling, like I had won a lottery. "So because today is your birthday, I brought you something extraordinary," he told me as he pulled a bag from behind him. I was awed by his gesture and received the bag he had brought. "You did not have to go this far babe..." I expressed as I pushed my lips forward. "Open it, my love," He urged me further, and out of the excitement, I dipped my hand into the box and gasped realizing he had gotten for me a necklace dressed up in the symbols of royalty. "My goodness, this is beautiful and also expensive," I said, while he grabbed the necklace from my hand and wore it on my neck. "Now this looks perfect," He remarked, helping me up to my feet. "You know I will get you the world if it's possible." I giggled and wrapped my arms around his neck and captured his lips in a deep kiss. This is where I find comfort in the man who has stayed with me all through the times and never left me. Suddenly a knock came through the door and our moments of bliss were completely broken off. The knock became harder; "Can I just have some alone time without disturbance? Go!" I said with a growl. "Alpha we have a situation. There is an important meeting at the council that needs your attention immediately," I heard the voice of my Beta Jay through the door. I sighed in exasperation, as Damon suddenly sat on the bed beside me. I shook my head. This was the price that came with being an Alpha. Especially a female Alpha. "Tell the councilmen to reschedule the meeting," I instructed him, hoping he would leave immediately. "I know this may sound disrespectful Alpha, but they are determined to see you right now. They say it is a matter of the throne." I clutched my head in frustration. I thought I'd be able to negotiate with them, but it was obvious that I wouldn't. These people are always seeking new ways to get me out of a position that was rightfully meant for me. Members of the council despise the idea of my leadership because I am a woman, but I have always stood my ground against them. "I think we should attend to them," Damon suggested and I thought about it for a moment and walked away from him to grab my royal coat. I wore the material and brushed my hair. Once I was done, Damon held my hands and assisted me out of the room. I love him for many reasons and one of them is his gentleman's nature. When we arrived at the council, I paused in my tracks seeing my stepbrother Jonathan, by the centre of the court. He had a lingering smirk on his face and while I sat down, I became suspicious of what was about to happen. "Now that the Alpha is present, Mr. Jonathan can you proceed with your claims?" I stared at the councilman in confusion and reverted my gaze to Jonathan who turned around the councilmen to speak. "I know this meeting was called abruptly, but I believe everyone in this room other than the Alpha knows why we are here." From one councilman to the other, they all shook their head in agreement. I turned to Damon. I wondered for a second if he also knew the reason we were there. He looked away from me immediately our eyes met. I scoffed and also looked away. Such a drama king! The throne room was bathed with royalty. My throne stood alone at the center of the room, while the chairs for the elders surrounded the front of the throne. One of the long chairs contained three elders, while the other contained five elders. Damon stood in a corner, watching. Jonathan stood in front of everyone. I relaxed on my comfortable throne and placed my hands on my head ready to hear what my brother had to say. "Dearest sister and also Alpha of the Moon Rays Pack, can you tell this council why you chose to kill my father and impose yourself as ruler of this pack?" "Is this some sort of joke or what?" I asked with a frown on my face. "Jonathan, what do you think you are doing?" "Doing what should have been done all these years.... removing you from the throne." I turned to my Beta Jay and he appeared to be aware of everything happening. It seemed like this wasn't a joke. I stayed calm, trying to calculate my next steps. "Alpha you haven't answered the question," Jonathan continued with his accusation. I turned around to face Jonathan, whose smirk had become even wider. "This must be some sort of ridicule of my position as Alpha. Have you all lost your minds? Who do you think you stand before? I demand an apology this very minute!" I ordered, but none appeared to pay attention to anything I had said. "Calm down step-sister, I am just getting started." I wish I could slap the smirk off his face, as he turned to meet the councilmen. "As we all know, it is treason to accuse the Alpha of something serious as this, which is why I have decided to bring proof of my action." I heard Damon cough from the corner where he stood, and step forward to meet Jonathan, while I watched him with a questioning gaze. "Standing here is the Alpha's beloved boyfriend and the one who had witnessed the killing of our dear late Alpha." I rose from my seat, hearing those words. I began to seeth in anger as I folded my fist, trying to stop myself from shifting. "Alpha Tyla is indeed responsible for the death of the late Alpha. I remember that very night so well, she had informed me of her actions and I tried to even warn her about it." "Damon!" I did not know when the tears came down my eyes, hearing the lies coming out of his lips. He was the last person I expected to do this to me. I hoped it was a prank and it would end immediately. "It is obvious that the Alpha is guilty, and under our customs, we have no choice but to remove her from the position as Alpha." "I won't stand such an act. Jay!" I called my Beta, but he did not respond but merely looked away. "Jay, what is this madness? Are you siding with them too?" I asked him. "What other proof do you need dear sister? No one supports your rule," Jonathan insisted and soon enough the pack soldiers stepped into the room and approached the throne. I did not say a word, as my heart was filled with the betrayals from the people I considered close to me. As they pulled off the crown from my head, my eyes gazed on Damon and he looked away at every interval. "I hope you are satisfied now!" I said to him, as I was being dragged away from the throne. "Don't take her far away, we still need her to witness the coronation and my judgment," Jonathan said with so much pride in his voice. I watched in disbelief, as the eldest councilman and the only person who has the right to crown an alpha stepped out of his seat and alongside Jonathan walked towards the throne. My stepbrother sat on the throne and everyone bowed their heads before him, the moment the crown touched his head. "As your new Alpha, my first set of instructions is to have her executed for murder!" My heart sank immediately after I heard his verdict. I fell on my knees immediately after they grew weak. The soldiers rushed towards me and tried to grab me. I resisted the struggle, as the soldiers wanted to pin me down. "She killed our father. She should also be eliminated. " I was stronger than most wolves because of my Alpha gene. I struggled with the soldiers. I could hear my heart racing in my chest. Even in my weakness, three of them could not pull me down. Well, not until I felt a hard metal hit hard on my head. "I am sorry Tyal, but you deserve it," I heard Jay's voice, as my eyes slowly began to weaken. "I certainly hope in your next life you don't come as wicked as this." Right before my eyes shut out completely, I looked at Damon and finally found that single emotion I was looking for in his eyes; Guilt. I guess this was the end of the road for me. An Alpha who is betrayed by her people and gets executed afterward. I felt a very tiny peace before I finally blanked out completely.CHAPTER TWOTyla's Point of viewI could hear the beeping of machines. My heartbeat sounded like it was beating in my chest. I tasted and smelt antiseptic, and I wondered what that feeling was. "We have studied her anatomy and found out that her wolf has become really stronger than it used to be." My eyes flew open the moment I heard voices and they landed on a man dressed up in a white lab coat and a very much older man, staring at him with desperation across his face. I looked around to see myself lying on a bed in a room. Multiple wires were connected to my hands and a machine. My heart sank deeply. Of course, I knew a hospital by simply judging from the scent. And now, my eyes were open, and I could see that the room I was inside was a hospital for real. I was trying to connect the dots in my head when another voice sounded. "Oh, she is awake!" The man expressed and the older man rushed over to meet with me, desperation soaked up in his face."Are you okay Annie?" "Annie? My
CHAPTER THREETyla POVI let the water touch my bare skin and felt some inner Peace in the moment, while my eyes remained shut.Memories of Damon's betrayal and Jonathan's acts of treason played their way into my mind and I finally opened my eyes, when I recalled the scene of my Beta Jay driving wolfsbane poison into my body. All of them deserve death and although I needed to keep up with this new act, I was fueled with so much hate built inside of me and all I craved for was revenge.I stopped the shower and stepped out of the bathroom. My room was well decorated, like the princess that I was. I scoffed. An Alpha King would never have this all pink around her room. Annie's king-sized bed lay in a corner of the room. It was bathed with wealth, and I liked it. The only thing odd about it was the fact that she was girlie and had so much girlie stuff here. I was an alpha. The soldiers had been positioned outside the room to watch over me, but my curiosity increased at that moment. Who
CHAPTER FOURTyla's Point of viewWe watched as Damon and his rogues left the chamber. His eyes never left mine as he backed out of the room.Once he was gone, I took in a deep breath and turned to face Damascus, who had a huge smile on his face."I am glad you did not accept the bond with Damon." My mind was rather preoccupied with something else. How did Damon become a rogue King in the first place? "Why is he a rogue King?" I asked."I thought I told you the incident that happened?" The king asked, staring at me with concern.I shrugged my shoulders, eager to hear what had happened."Several wolves were cast out of their various packs and one of them is Damon. So what did Damon do? He thought it was a great idea to rule over every one of them and that is exactly what he did." I begin to wonder if this tale he was narrating happened before I met Damon or after I had been executed in my previous life."You don't have to worry about the man you are going to get married to because I
CHAPTER FIVETyla's Point of viewA few hours later...I felt the wave of nostalgia hit me, as we stepped into my pack. During the few weeks that I had been away, there were no major changes, mere desolated houses. It was obvious he had done more damage than even good things in the pack and the thought of my pack members suffering made me angry.By the time we arrived at my pack mansion, everything had changed in front of my sight. There were no soldiers by the gates and I noticed more dilapidated parts in the furniture.Jonathan had only damaged my hard work for his self-centeredness.As we approached the entrance of the mansion, my eyes landed on Jay my Betta, and the one who had betrayed me. It was weird to think that I trusted him with everything for him to betray me."Welcome Alpha, I trust your trip went really well?" He said with a smile and his eyes landed on me. His stare lingered for a while, I could tell he had seen something familiar about me, judging from his reaction."
CHAPTER SIX TYLA Point Of View It was late at night already. I sat on the floor beside my bed with my hands wrapped around my legs. I coiled myself up seated on the floor beside my bed. Tears streamed down my eyes as I thought about the beating I had just been given. It was hard to believe that after everything I went through at the hands of my oppressors in my first life, faith still brought us together. I looked around my room. My gaze wandered listlessly around the room. The once-cozy space now felt like a hollow shell, echoing with memories of happier times. The cream-colored carpet, soft beneath my feet, seemed chilled by the frost of my sorrow. The dark wood desk, where laughter and creativity had flowed, stood silent and still. CHAPTER SEVENDAMON Point of viewAs I stepped into the rogue pack's den, a mix of snarls and growls erupted, echoing off the damp walls. The air reeked of wet fur, decay, and malevolence. My eyes scanned the dimly lit space. My anger seethed, simmering just below the surface. I clenched my fists, nails digging into my palms, as I struggled to maintain control. The betrayal and rage burning within me threatened to unleash a maelstrom of fury.I took a deliberate step forward, my boots crunching on the gravel floor. The pack's members parted, revealing a sea of hostile faces. Their eyes gleamed with a feral light, sensing my turmoil. They all bowed to greet me as they noticed my presence. I ignored them and continued into the pack house. My jaw tightened, muscles corded with tension. I forced myself to breathe, to calm the storm raging inside. But every fiber of my being screamed for vengeance."How dare him," I growled, my voice low and menacing, "how dare he keep her away from me?"
CHAPTER EIGHTTyla Point of viewTyla lay on her bed, finally sleeping after rolling multiple timesheets. She didn't think she had had enough sleep when the door suddenly opened forcefully. She turned around in bed and yawned out loud. She looked towards the door as she stretched herself, feeling reluctant about standing up yet. Her eyes met with Jonathan's, and this made her immediately sit up. She immediately no longer felt sleepy. A lady slowly walked into the room and stood beside Jonathan. Tyla noticed that she had a box in her hands. "Annie," Jonathan called as he took steps closer to her. She looked up at him, wondering what he had to say."Get dressed," he ordered. "Your makeup artist is here to tidy you up." Staring up at him, she wished that she could kill him at that point. She gulped down hard on her saliva and nodded her head. As much as she wanted to ask Jonathan what the occasion was, she also didn't want to talk to him. "Greetings to you, ma'am," Miss Linda greet
