CHAPTER TWO
Tyla's Point of view I could hear the beeping of machines. My heartbeat sounded like it was beating in my chest. I tasted and smelt antiseptic, and I wondered what that feeling was. "We have studied her anatomy and found out that her wolf has become really stronger than it used to be." My eyes flew open the moment I heard voices and they landed on a man dressed up in a white lab coat and a very much older man, staring at him with desperation across his face. I looked around to see myself lying on a bed in a room. Multiple wires were connected to my hands and a machine. My heart sank deeply. Of course, I knew a hospital by simply judging from the scent. And now, my eyes were open, and I could see that the room I was inside was a hospital for real. I was trying to connect the dots in my head when another voice sounded. "Oh, she is awake!" The man expressed and the older man rushed over to meet with me, desperation soaked up in his face. "Are you okay Annie?" "Annie? My name is not Annie." I responded in confusion. "Who are you?" I asked looking from the doctor to the man. The older man sat beside me and looked down at me his expression suddenly shifting. I saw fear and confusion in his eyes. "Miss Annie, you don't know this man?" The doctor asked as he slowly took calculated steps towards me. Again I turned to look at the older man, making out his face. He was most likely in his late forties and had this strange presence around him. I shook my head to say no and I could see the hurt in his eyes. "I guess her situation also requires therapy. She has obviously lost her memory." I still did not understand why they had chosen to call me Annie. I closed my eyes trying to recall everything that had happened. My stepbrother Jonathan offsets me from the throne after I had received the biggest betrayal in my life from Damon my boyfriend. I recalled being injected with wolf's bane by my Beta Jay. I knew my memory was still intact, so why did they say I lost my memory? "What is happening to her doctor?" I heard the old man speak once again and I opened my eyes to look at him. "Where is this place?" "This is SilverMoon Pack, it is the pack of the Alpha King," the doctor said and turned to the older man. "Annie darling, it is me your father the Alpha King Damisus." I tried connecting the pieces, but nothing seemed to make sense. I remembered being carried to be executed and now I found myself in the hospital with a man claiming to be my father and also the Alpha King. I also recalled the fact that my father died before I did. "I think we should give her more time. We will discharge her today and I certainly hope that she gets the best treatment she can get from the pack house," The doctor informed the Alpha King. He nodded his head and forced a smile. "I will make sure she is well taken care of." The doctor bowed and walked away from the room. The alpha king inhaled deeply after the doctor left. He faced me and helped my hands in his as he began to squeeze my fingers. "I am happy I did not lose you," he expressed with a smile on his face. "What happened?". "You were riding a car and it got out of control and you crashed into a tree." I looked down at my legs and noticed changes. They had become pale and were shorter than the longer ones I was used to. I checked my wrist and noticed the same changes as well and slowly panic began to set in. "What is the matter?" He asked, seeing my nervous state. "Can I get a mirror? Something, anything that can show off my reflection," I asked desperately and he pulled out a mirror across the room and handed it over to me. I almost screamed, seeing the reflection of myself. I touched every part of my face, refusing to believe that I was the one in the mirror. "Why are you panicking Annie?" I turned to the Alpha King and slowly I began to connect the pieces. I was not one to believe in the concept of reborn, but slowly it began to make sense seeing I was stuck in the body of another person. "Nothing, I just did not expect my face to look like this." I lied to him with a smile on my face. I had to keep up this act together for now and find out from someone, what was wrong with me at the moment. "Well, the doctor says you will be going home really soon," he announced and I nodded my head to his words when the door opened and another man old enough to be in his late forties stepped inside the room. "The ride is ready sir," he announced and I figured it would be his Beta. The doctor stepped into the room and helped check my vitals, before informing the Alpha King about my need to always rest. Once they were done, I would be helped back to my feet. I was not longer the tall Tyla that everyone feared anymore, I was a young helpless Alpha King's daughter and until I came to the understanding of how to use this new body, I might lose my mind. By the time we arrived at the mansion, we were welcomed by a group of maids, who helped carry the luggage up the stairs. "Annie darling, why don't you go upstairs and freshen up." I looked at him for a moment, realizing I would have to be dealing with a man I consider father. I did not have a choice but to listen. I walked with the maids out of the living room, but right before I left, I overheard his Beta saying something regarding Rogues, but I couldn't care less at this point. When I finally arrived at the room, I looked at the whole aesthetic and realized the young girl Annie might be a lover of blue, as she had colored major accessories in the room with the color. "The water is fully functioning," one of the maids, who had stepped out of the shower announced. As she leaves the room, the Alpha King Damascus steps inside with two soldiers behind him. "How are you feeling now my love?" He asked, placing his hands on my shoulders. "Strange, but I will be fine," I admitted. "Very well then. We are about to have a serious guest in the pack mansion. Now usually I would have let you alone and sleep, but I can't risk putting you here alone because no one can trust the rogue King." The soldiers behind him stepped forward. "Which is why I have decided to call on these soldiers to watch over you. The Rogue King problem is my problem to handle, just rest and stay inside okay?" He fiddled with my hair and while he walked out, the whole question that built up in my mind remained the same. Who is the Rogue King?CHAPTER THREETyla POVI let the water touch my bare skin and felt some inner Peace in the moment, while my eyes remained shut.Memories of Damon's betrayal and Jonathan's acts of treason played their way into my mind and I finally opened my eyes, when I recalled the scene of my Beta Jay driving wolfsbane poison into my body. All of them deserve death and although I needed to keep up with this new act, I was fueled with so much hate built inside of me and all I craved for was revenge.I stopped the shower and stepped out of the bathroom. My room was well decorated, like the princess that I was. I scoffed. An Alpha King would never have this all pink around her room. Annie's king-sized bed lay in a corner of the room. It was bathed with wealth, and I liked it. The only thing odd about it was the fact that she was girlie and had so much girlie stuff here. I was an alpha. The soldiers had been positioned outside the room to watch over me, but my curiosity increased at that moment. Who
CHAPTER FOURTyla's Point of viewWe watched as Damon and his rogues left the chamber. His eyes never left mine as he backed out of the room.Once he was gone, I took in a deep breath and turned to face Damascus, who had a huge smile on his face."I am glad you did not accept the bond with Damon." My mind was rather preoccupied with something else. How did Damon become a rogue King in the first place? "Why is he a rogue King?" I asked."I thought I told you the incident that happened?" The king asked, staring at me with concern.I shrugged my shoulders, eager to hear what had happened."Several wolves were cast out of their various packs and one of them is Damon. So what did Damon do? He thought it was a great idea to rule over every one of them and that is exactly what he did." I begin to wonder if this tale he was narrating happened before I met Damon or after I had been executed in my previous life."You don't have to worry about the man you are going to get married to because I
CHAPTER FIVETyla's Point of viewA few hours later...I felt the wave of nostalgia hit me, as we stepped into my pack. During the few weeks that I had been away, there were no major changes, mere desolated houses. It was obvious he had done more damage than even good things in the pack and the thought of my pack members suffering made me angry.By the time we arrived at my pack mansion, everything had changed in front of my sight. There were no soldiers by the gates and I noticed more dilapidated parts in the furniture.Jonathan had only damaged my hard work for his self-centeredness.As we approached the entrance of the mansion, my eyes landed on Jay my Betta, and the one who had betrayed me. It was weird to think that I trusted him with everything for him to betray me."Welcome Alpha, I trust your trip went really well?" He said with a smile and his eyes landed on me. His stare lingered for a while, I could tell he had seen something familiar about me, judging from his reaction."
CHAPTER SIX TYLA Point Of View It was late at night already. I sat on the floor beside my bed with my hands wrapped around my legs. I coiled myself up seated on the floor beside my bed. Tears streamed down my eyes as I thought about the beating I had just been given. It was hard to believe that after everything I went through at the hands of my oppressors in my first life, faith still brought us together. I looked around my room. My gaze wandered listlessly around the room. The once-cozy space now felt like a hollow shell, echoing with memories of happier times. The cream-colored carpet, soft beneath my feet, seemed chilled by the frost of my sorrow. The dark wood desk, where laughter and creativity had flowed, stood silent and still. The sleek bed, where restful nights had lulled me into a peaceful slumber, lay rumpled and uninviting.Artwork and prints on the walls, once vibrant and inspiring, faded into the background like whispers of a forgotten melody. Books on the shelf, de
CHAPTER SEVENDAMON Point of viewAs I stepped into the rogue pack's den, a mix of snarls and growls erupted, echoing off the damp walls. The air reeked of wet fur, decay, and malevolence. My eyes scanned the dimly lit space. My anger seethed, simmering just below the surface. I clenched my fists, nails digging into my palms, as I struggled to maintain control. The betrayal and rage burning within me threatened to unleash a maelstrom of fury.I took a deliberate step forward, my boots crunching on the gravel floor. The pack's members parted, revealing a sea of hostile faces. Their eyes gleamed with a feral light, sensing my turmoil. They all bowed to greet me as they noticed my presence. I ignored them and continued into the pack house. My jaw tightened, muscles corded with tension. I forced myself to breathe, to calm the storm raging inside. But every fiber of my being screamed for vengeance."How dare him," I growled, my voice low and menacing, "how dare he keep her away from me?"
CHAPTER EIGHTTyla Point of viewTyla lay on her bed, finally sleeping after rolling multiple timesheets. She didn't think she had had enough sleep when the door suddenly opened forcefully. She turned around in bed and yawned out loud. She looked towards the door as she stretched herself, feeling reluctant about standing up yet. Her eyes met with Jonathan's, and this made her immediately sit up. She immediately no longer felt sleepy. A lady slowly walked into the room and stood beside Jonathan. Tyla noticed that she had a box in her hands. "Annie," Jonathan called as he took steps closer to her. She looked up at him, wondering what he had to say."Get dressed," he ordered. "Your makeup artist is here to tidy you up." Staring up at him, she wished that she could kill him at that point. She gulped down hard on her saliva and nodded her head. As much as she wanted to ask Jonathan what the occasion was, she also didn't want to talk to him. "Greetings to you, ma'am," Miss Linda greet
CHAPTER NINETYLA"I am just too scared about what will happen to him," Jessica lamented. "It's been a week since the verdict, but I haven't gotten it off my head yet."Damon had challenged Damisus to the throne. There was a simple tradition to dethrone the king. You will have to challenge the sitting king to a war and kill him. Failure to kill the king would have you executed. "I wonder what gave him the guts to go ahead with that," I replied. I stared at Jessica. She lay on the bare floor with her back resting peacefully on the floor. She faced the ceiling and wrapped her hands around her body. She seemed really scared for her brother. "Damisus is my father," I reminded her. "I can't even support your brother and my supposed mate right now." I stood up from the bed where I was lying and began to pace the place. I bowed my head to the floor. Jessica still lay there on the bare floor without saying a word. "Why not try to talk him out of this?" I asked Jessica. She inhaled deepl
CHAPTER TENJONATHANI randomly remembered that I had taken a new wife. I hadn't really paid attention to her since she came into the pack house, because I had been too busy with a lot of things. After the last meeting with the alphas and the new issues that came up concerning alpha Damisus and alpha Damon. Everything had pilled up and made me so busy. I was not too concerned about their affair, since in didn't like any of the men. My only connection with them was my wives. I looked up at the wall clock, and I was surprised at how the time flew by so quickly today. I turned to the door and walked out of the room. Now that I was less busy and bored, it was time to play with my new wife. As I strolled towards her room, I could already feel myself getting ready for her. I was furious when I opened the door and saw Jessica in Tyla's room. I hated the idea of those women being together. I immediately ordered Jessica to leave. I had already explored every part of her body, so today, I wa
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SEVEN THIRD POV Three months had passed since the pack's last gathering, and the air was electric with excitement as the Cornrow Pack prepared to witness a historic moment – the coronation of their new Alpha King, Damon. The sun was setting over the pack's territory, casting a warm orange glow over the gathered crowd. The atmosphere was alive with chatter and laughter as the pack members eagerly awaited the ceremony. At the center of the gathering stood an elegant stage, adorned with intricate carvings and symbols of the pack's heritage. Before the stage, a beautifully crafted altar held a delicate, gemstone-encrusted crown, awaiting its new owner. The Luna ceremony was about to commence, and Tyla, Damon's chosen mate, stood poised and radiant, her long, dark hair cascading down her back like a waterfall of night. Her eyes shone with happiness as she gazed at Damon, who stood beside her, his eyes burning with adoration. Elara, the eldest elder, steppe
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SIX TYLA Point of View Days turned into weeks, and I remained holed up in my room, struggling to come to terms with what had happened. I had gotten my revenge on Jonathan, but it didn't feel as satisfying as I thought it would. Instead, I felt lost and uncertain. I had been so focused on my quest for revenge that I hadn't thought about what would come next. Now that Jonathan was out of the picture, I was left to pick up the pieces and figure out how to move forward. As the Alpha of the Cornrow Pack, I had a responsibility to my pack members. But I couldn't shake the feeling that I wasn't ready to lead. I was still reeling from the aftermath of my encounter with Jonathan, and I didn't know if I had the strength or the courage to take on the challenges that lay ahead. But as I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, I knew that I couldn't stay hidden away forever. I had to face my fears and my doubts head-on. I had to find a way to move forward, to heal and
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE JAY Point of View I walked away from Damon, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside me. I was worried about Jess, and I regretted the way I had treated her. I couldn't believe how I had ignored her, pushed her away when she needed me most. I had been so caught up in my own problems, my own guilt and shame, that I had neglected the one person who truly cared about me. Now, it seemed like it was too late. Jess was hurt, and I didn't blame her. I had broken her trust, and I didn't know if I could ever repair it. I felt a pang of sadness and regret. I wished I could go back in time, do things differently. I wished I could amend things, make it right between us. But it was too late now. The damage was done, and all I could do was hope that someday, somehow, Jess would be able to forgive me. I sighed, feeling a sense of despair wash over me. I had messed up, and now I had to live with the consequences. I walked back to my quarters, feeling lost and
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FOUR DAMON point of View I stood in front of the large map of our territory, studying it intently. We had been searching for the missing goods for weeks, and I was determined to finally recover them. I had been working tirelessly, following every lead, every hint, every rumor. I had spoken to every pack member, every ally, every enemy. And finally, after all this time, I had a breakthrough. I had received a tip from a reliable source that the missing goods were being hidden in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of our territory. I had assembled a team of my most trusted pack members, and we were ready to move. We arrived at the warehouse under the cover of darkness. We moved stealthily, our eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger. I gave a hand signal, and my team moved into position. We burst into the warehouse, our flashlights illuminating the dark space. And there, in the center of the room, were the missing goods. Crates of food, medi
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY Three I watched as Tyla packed up her bags, her movements swift and efficient. I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness, knowing that she was leaving. Damon walked into the room, his eyes locked onto Tyla's. "Hey, Jess, can I talk to you for a minute?" he asked, his voice soft. I nodded, curious. "What's up, Damon?" I asked, walking over to him. Damon's eyes locked onto mine, his expression serious. "I was wondering if you'd consider not going with Tyla back to the Cornrow pack," he said, his voice filled with emotion. I raised an eyebrow, surprised. "Why?" I asked, curious. Tyla spoke up, her voice soft. "Because, Jess, I need some time to heal. And everything in the Cornrow pack...it's just too much. It'll never let me heal." I nodded, understanding. I knew that Tyla had been through a lot, and the Cornrow pack was a constant reminder of her past. I couldn't blame her for wanting to get away from it all. "Okay, Tyla," I said, smiling softly. "I'll
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY Two DAMON point of View As we sat there, hands clasped together, the tension between us was palpable. It was as if the weight of our confessions had lifted a burden off our shoulders, and we were finally free to express our true feelings. I looked into Tyla's eyes, and I saw the same desire reflected back at me. Without a word, I leaned in, my lips brushing against hers in a gentle, tender kiss. Tyla's response was immediate, her lips parting to deepen the kiss. I felt a surge of passion run through me, and I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her close. We kissed for what felt like hours, our lips locked together in a passionate, all-consuming kiss. I felt like I was home, like I had finally found the missing piece of my soul. As we broke apart for air, I looked into Tyla's eyes and saw the same love, the same desire reflected back at me. Without a word, I stood up, pulling her to her feet, and led her to the bedroom. We made love with a passion, a
Chapter 171CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY ONE DAMON Point of View I sat in the dimly lit living room, my eyes fixed on the flames dancing in the fireplace. It had been a long day, filled with tension and drama. Jessica safely tucked away in bed, I had a chance to unwind. Jessica had complained about feeling sleepy, and I had asked Tyla to put her to sleep. Iwas starting to relax when, I heard a soft voice behind me. "Damon, can I talk to you?" I turned to see Tyla standing in the doorway, her eyes hesitant. I nodded, gesturing for her to come in. She walked over to the couch and sat down beside me, her eyes fixed on mine. "I wanted to talk to you about what happened today," she said, her voice soft. I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What about it?" I asked, my tone neutral. Tyla took a deep breath before speaking. "I know you're still angry with me, and I don't blame you. But I want you to know that I never chose Jonathan over you. I was just playing along with him, trying to get clos
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY TYLA Point of View I watched as Damon pulled out his phone and dialed a number. He spoke in a low tone, his words indistinguishable, but his expression told me that he was giving orders. Suddenly, a group of pack members appeared out of nowhere, their faces somber as they surveyed the scene before them. Damon nodded at them, and they quickly sprang into action. "Take Jessica's car and Jonathan's car away from here," Damon instructed, his voice firm. "Take them back to the cornrow pack." The pack members nodded, their movements swift and efficient as they worked to remove the cars from the scene. I watched, still trying to process everything that had happened. Damon turned to us, his eyes locking onto mine and Jessica's. "Let's get out of here," he said, his voice soft. "We'll take my car." Jessica nodded, her eyes still shining with tears. I followed her lead, my body feeling numb and disconnected. As we walked towards Damon's car, I couldn't help but
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY NINE JESSICA Point of View Tyla's eyes locked onto mine, and I could see the fear and resignation there. We both knew that Jonathan was beyond reason, and that our pleas were falling on deaf ears. We held each other tightly, waiting for the inevitable. I could feel Tyla's heart racing against mine, and I knew that she was bracing herself for the impact. I was doing the same, my mind racing with thoughts of our families, our friends, and our pack. We were going to leave them behind, and the thought was almost too much to bear. But then, just as Jonathan's finger was about to pull the trigger, we heard the sound of gunshots ringing out through the air. Tyla's grip on me tightened, and I felt her body tense up, preparing for the impact. But it never came. Instead, we heard Jonathan's cry of pain, and the sound of his body crashing to the ground. Tyla and I slowly opened our eyes, our hearts still racing with fear. That's when we saw him... Damon, standing
