Suspicion Part 30

ALEX'S P.O.V

"Come child."

Mrs Zheng directed them to a bench and she faced her with a frustratingly unreadable facial expression. She pulled out a small bag and placed it on her hand, she took it confused as to why she was handed her this.

"This is green tea mixed with ancient herbs and this helps with scent and these are the ones you chew on when you get 'stressed'."

She smiled at her with so much understanding that her brain failed to register what just happened.

"Huh? Wait. These are..."

"Suppressants. Don't worry Xing took Noah downstairs and I cleared the yard before you got here."

Huh? What? What is going on right now? She's restless and a dark part of her circled contemplating.

[Finally. Now we can come out to our mate-]

[SHUT UP.]

She jumped not expecting the new foreign dialogue, why is she helping her deceive her son?

"Hun, your scent is faint but we picked it up... I am not sure if Noah knows but you must be keeping it a secret for a reason so I am handing you these."

What? Instant panic. Suddenly her packs morals can to pass and she wondered why now? She knows what she's been doing ever since she stepped in Moon was immortal and hypocritical to act all righteous just because she was in a pack that practiced righteousness...

"You can sense me?

"Yes and no. Yes your scent arguably changed ever since you've been here but what made us confirm it was the way that you behaved when you shifted. You did not back down to anyone but your mate, I wouldn't say it was your wolf but... You marked Noah with your Pheromones. It's not as clear but we've had the privilege to observe you and it became clear much later."

"Why?"

"You found your fated mate. The more you have him around the more your nature comes out to be seen. Hun, if you ever get tired of the burden of secrecy speak to Noah... Give him the benefit of every doubt his mouth discredits."

Her own mother never once spoke to her like this once her nature was revealed. It was like she was disgusted for birthing and waiting for an omega. Mrs Zheng is not just supportive but she's also keeping this a secret and she never once judged her decision.

"Mom. I mean mrs- (she gently squeezed her hand to stop her from fumbling for words) thank you. I really appreciate you and your family for accommodating me. And as for what I'm going to do, I'm going to leave things as they are. Respectfully, I don't want the burden to be obligated to act upon my nature and what comes with it."

"Hun, you forget I am also an omega. Granted, I did make some decisions that were based obligations but those things did not weaken me. I respect you have your own way you want to go about this but being who you are should not be considered a weakness you have to wallow in."

She's right. She's been having this bias against omegas ever since she herself was despised it years back. She literally hates herself so much she hypocritically does what she was against, flooding her body with chemicals.

"You right. I don't know when or how I started hating myself as much as my mother hates me. But understand my packs values are based on hierarchy. Omegas and women are manipulated to believe their main purpose in live is to become housewives as well as parents. That has always been what I envision for my future, I wanted that in fact I dreamed that my prince charming save me."

"Honey, that's how trauma works. If you want to talk about what changed your mind-"

Remembering made it so hard, her chest is heavy and the memories are cornering her so far back she can't see. Tears blurred her vision and the warm concerned body hugged her, she released pheromones that eased her up coming panic attack.

"Do you want to speak inside?"

She nodded. She's been haunted by this for years now, accepting the reality of everything meaningless made her hate everything that made her who she is. They made a pit-stop by the fridge and she took one of the many ice creams the family got for her. Instantly feeling mentally better after her fifth bite she realized she's sitting on a comfortable chair in a neural colored room before the Luna. The woman she wished her birth mother should have been like.

"Okay Hun, take a deep breath and when you have the words let them out."

She took a deep breath, she closed her eyes tears welding up faster than she could control.

"I was abused- I hate myself because I too weak. I hate my mother because she hates me for tempting the wrong attention. I hate my pack because instead of intervening their great idea was to imprison me with that same person so it is not considered a sin. I hate the fact my nature because it stole everything from me. I hate that I sometimes fear Noah.

He knows everything. I fear that once the attraction fades so will he. I fear everyday that I am too weak or too broken to be with him. I fear that my problems will make him resent me one day. I fear that if I don't complete my life goal and I will have nothing to pay my step father back. I fear because of all of this brokenness and insecurity, I will be an unfit mother someday."

She opened her eyes and smiled at the woman who has as much concern she wished her mom felt.

"Mrs Zheng. What I hate, I understand now that was not my fault. I got away although there are traces of resentment that makes me more stronger today so I keep it. And as for Noah, I still see that dream but I still have a lot to figure out so I won't rush anything. I'm not going to limit destiny as much as I already have."

She takes more spoons of the caramel goodness she's still nursing. She's very self aware therefore she can organize her emotions and tackle each problem individually. Shes has not been doing a good job in that department but she is able to acknowledge them none the less.

"Wow. Okay. You interest me Alex Marx. Regardless of how strong I know you are, you have a new pack now and a mother in law who cares about her daughter."

They hugged for like a full minute and it's safe to say that she believed every word she said. She smile and they started talking about Noah's annoying habits.

"His personality is the reason I gave him a chance. I find the balance of his goofy side funny and him being serious an admirable characteristic."

His mother told her about Noah as a child eventually she found herself outside with a new small bucket of butter scotch ice cream and suppressants. She faced her mate who has a additional bags, she wanted to ask but figured it has nothing to do with her.

"Thank you so much Mr and Mrs Zheng."

She bowed but ended up hugging the woman who smells so sweat like apples. Mrs Zheng pulled her son closer just to give her a threat that made her laugh.

"Son, do not hurt or ever let my daughter in law go. The blue moons fate has blessed you more than you will ever know."

Noah nodded kissed his mother cheek and the got on the car, Noah had already apologized to both Toby and Lucas for the time change. He offered to pay for the hotel room they will stay in and the new plane tickets and leave first thing in the morning. They agreed and did not seem to be mad especially since it looks like the sun wants to set.

After saying their goodbyes and went to Toby's who did not live that far. Everyone in this pack looks to be well off especially including Toby who's house looks magnificent, it was smaller that the pack duecalion but bigger than the surroundings houses.

"You met Mr Green... His my fathers best friend, business partner and like Toby and I brother from another mother."

"Oh, it makes sense why you two are close. Here they come..."
