Lost interest

ADRIEL’S POV.

I couldn’t believe my eyes the moment they landed on her. I couldn't believe that she was the one I was seeing right now—the same female had run off from the last time at the party. Too bad I never got to get her number.

I had gone to get her a cold drink only to return to see her gone. Heaven knows I was pained because it reminded me of many things. It reminded me of traumas I thought I had let go of. Memories I thought I had buried. People I thought I had forgotten. People hurt me and stabbed me in so many ways.

I could see the shock on her face. I could see that she wasn't expecting to see me. I could see her lips drop down a little.

It made me wonder what she would do this time.

Would she run? Would she ignore me, pretend not to see me?

I doubted that she could.
