Gone missing

The following morning, I wake up with a startle to realize that my face was gummed shut to the pages of a book.

Tearing my face away, my drool followed suite.

"Gross" Arnold gagged. "You shouldn't have tried studying"

"Oh, shut up"

Flipping the pages of the book, I write down the fruits that would aid Mabel's recovery on a piece of paper, returning the book back on it's shef before dashing out of the library.

On my way back to my chambers, all hell seemed to have broken loose overnight in the palace--which piqued my interest because any chaos that wasn't caused by me always excited me--

As a pack warrior was about to run past me, I stopped him. "What's going on here?"

"Alpha Jax has gone missing"

My excitement immediately died down. "I'm sure he just went out for a walk or something"

Besides Jax had wanted me to train him just yesterday, he wouldn't put himself in harm's way while he couldn't protect himself.

"He left a note in his stepfather's room that he is going to
