Lorena’s POV

I listened to Hazel’s heavy breathing over the phone. The silence was tense. I didn’t even know if she was still conscious.

“Hazel? Are you still there?”

Still nothing. I then heard Jasper’s voice in the background.

“Hazel are you okay?”

Finally I heard a voice. Hazel sounded fearful and the timbre of her voice was full of melancholy.

“You…you need to… to go and see the seer. I can’t explain but something in me feels that you should go and see him.”

I could hear her voice getting hoarse and croaky. She was holding back tears.

“Hazel, I…”

“Drive through the forest and take a right on a path. You should see his cottage there.”

I tried to say something to her but the line went dead.

I dropped the phone and turned around anxiously. Kaya looked at me puzzled.

“Miss Lorena, are you okay? What’s the matter?”

I swallowed hard and caught myself before I made my fear too evident to her.
