Chapter 96

Lorena’s POV

Sunday came quickly. Everyone was busy preparing for tomorrow. Hazel was getting clothes ready and I was busy in the kitchen.

I had barely been able to sleep. Did Hazel really think that this plan was going to work? I mean, I wasn't even in high school. Who on earth was going to believe that I was a student?

A shiver ran down my spine. I was not ready for all that high school drama. Seeing Hazel everyday had already given me an insight of what it felt like to be in high school.

I continued to clean the kitchen counter furiously. My head was a jumble of thoughts. I was thinking about the plan, my pregnancy, Kaya and Ryder. It felt like my head was going to explode. I stopped and looked into the distance. What was really stopping me from telling Kaya that I was mated to her father?

I was scared. I was scared that Kaya would hate me for trying to take her mother's place. Come to think of it, was I even angry at Ryder or I was just angry at myself for my cowardice?
