Ryder’s POVI walked into Lorena’s room and saw her crying profusely on Hazel’s shoulder.“Lorena? Are you okay?”Lorena didn’t say anything and Hazel simply stared daggers at me. I could tell that something awful had happened. Something that had to do with our kiss.“Lorena, can we please just talk about this?”“I don’t think that she wants to take to you,” said Hazel coldly. “So I suggest that you leave.”I turned angrily to Hazel and growled. I wasn’t talking to her. I made another move towards Lorena but Hazel left her side and stood angrily in front of me.“Don’t you think that you have done enough already? I said that she doesn’t want to talk to you. Leave! Now!”We continued to argue for a while and soon, I heard Lorena’s voice in the background. We both fell silent and watched her as she stared angrily at the both of us, specifically me."I don’t know what you are doing here Ryder, but I want you to leave. I don’t want to talk to you. Just leave me alone! Stay away from me and
Lorena’s POVIt was Monday. I was up early and so was Hazel. My eyes were a terrible red color from crying all night. Hazel had gone over the plan with everyone yesterday evening but I didn’t attend. Couldn’t bare to see Ryder’s face and be forced to relive all the things I said to him the other day.“Are you sure that you still want to go through with this. You can stay home if you want. You look really tired and I think hat you need to rest.”Hazel had put her jeans on and was about to put on her shirt. I shook my head slowly and tried to smile as best as I could.“It’s fine. I’m fine. I don’t want to let you down. We all agreed to do this together and besides, I don’t think Kaya would want to see me. I can’t stay home with her.”Hazel sat down on the bed beside me. We were both dressed for the day. I was in a pair of jeans and a top. I looked like a school girl. It all felt so foreign to me. I still doubted the plan was going to work but I guess we just had to have a little faith.
Cassie’s POVI felt all eyes fall on Jasper and I as soon as we walked into the building. I felt my body freeze but Jasper held my hand defensively and pulled me along.I could hear unsavory whispers and snickers, as girls who used to look up to me began to point and laugh.Soon the bell rang and the halls were clearing out; Jasper and I were now alone. I opened my locker with a sad face to get my books but he suddenly pinned me to it.“You don’t look happy, Cassie.”I exhaled and tried my best not too look into his eyes. All this felt so unnatural to me. I had been the popular girl for so long, but now, I was nothing.“Talk to me, Cassie.”I finally took a deep breath and met his gaze.“People are laughing at us, Jasper. Or should I say, they are laughing at me. They think that I am a joke.”I saw him raise his eyebrows up. He looked quite puzzled.“I don’t think understand what you are getting at.”I sighed and pushed him gently away as I tried to get my books from my locker.“I am
Logan’s POVI headed straight to class and didn’t even bother to look for Hazel. I growled angrily to myself. I knew it was that good for nothing Jasper who did, whatever he did, to me.Instinctively, I ran my hand on my neck. My injury was healed but every now and then, the ordeal would flash before my eyes and fill me with terror. The pain was felt like nothing I had ever felt before. I had watched my blood spill and coat the floor. It was scary.I soon got to my class and took my seat. I could feel the eyes all over me but I couldn’t care less. They could stare till they eyes fell out.The teacher came shortly after and decorum returned to the class.“Mr. Logan. It is nice to have you back. Might I ask where you have been all this time?”I stared angrily at the teacher. It was Mr. Jaxon. I knew he was a wolf but just like other teachers, he always found a way to make me look stupid in front of the class. No one really knew much about him, except that he lived alone in a rundown apa
Hazel’s POVI stared pleadingly at Logan. He stopped and glared at me in disdain.“Please stop! Please don’t fight with him. I’m begging you.”Tears began to stream down my face as I pleaded with him. However, it all fell on deaf ears.He pushed me and I was sent reeling to the floor. I cried and through my teary eyes, I saw Logan throw a punch at Jasper. He dodged it and tried his best to defend himself without hurting Logan.I got up and tried to pull Logan away but he just pushed me again. I sobbed painfully. Why did he always have to be so brash and impulsive?Soon Cassie came in and gasped at the sight of her mate fighting.“Jasper stop!”She tried to grab his arm but he pulled it away from her angrily.“Don’t touch me!”He continued to face Logan. I was on the floor when Cassie ran up to me.“What happened? Are you hurt?”I shook myself off as she helped me get off the floor. We turned and watched our mates in heated combat and both of us were powerless to stop them. Finally Ryd
Hazel’s POVI stood up and rushed back inside. The halls were quiet; classes had begun again. I tip-toed to my class and prayed that the teacher was absent. Just this once, let something work out my way.I got close to the door of my class and it was deathly silent. I stopped in my tracks. The teacher was in the class. I bit my lips anxiously and decided to take a step of faith. Maybe he would let me in.I tried to sneak into the class but as soon as I walked in, the whole class erupted into whispers. The teacher turned around and stared at me angrily.“Miss Hazel, did you think that you could just sneak into my class and I wouldn’t notice?”I blushed hard in embarrassment and the whole class began to laugh at me.“I’m sorry, sir.”The class laughed even louder. Someone threw a rude comment about what happened in the cafeteria and I blushed even harder and I felt tears brim in my eyes. They had all seen what had happened in the cafeteria and they were laughing and whispering at me.“M
Hazel’s POVWe waited in detention and the day began to slowly go by. Cassie and Jasper were on better terms now and Logan was speaking to me but very subtly. It wasn’t much but at least, It was progress. We heard students pass the door and a few of them peeked through the glass to watch us. I could still hear the whispering outside the doors. The girls made eyes at Ruder and every now and then, I would hear Lorena growl angrily and a smile would curl Ryder’s lips. I knew that Lorena loved Ryder. I just didn’t understand why she was making it hard for him. I knew that Ryder had hurt her before but from what I had noticed, He was changing and I was happy for him. He was being much more beneficial in the mission and he was trying to help out more.I was very sure that the old Ryder wouldn’t have cared at all if Jasper and Logan wanted to kill each other.Slowly, the students began to leave the door and the school premises became quieter and quieter.I looked at the clock and saw that it
Hazel’s POVI gasped and watched the door in horror. The figure inched closer and closer. I felt the breath in me leave my lungs. Suddenly, the figure stopped. I was left wondering. Without warning, the lights flickered on and we will all startled.“I can see you all. It’s pointless hiding now.”There was no need in hiding and one by one, we all began to creep out of hiding places. However, I was stunned to see who it was. It was Greg, the janitor.“This is why I hate high schools. You seniors, sneaking around to make out. What's on earth are you all doing here?”I sighed in relief and took a quick glance behind me and saw that the secret door was closed again behind the brick walls. Thank the Goddess.“You kids still haven’t answered my question.” said Mr. Greg angrily. “What are you doing here?”We were all silent and soon he brought out his phone.“Since no one wants to say anything, I guess that I’m going to have to call the principal about this and see what he has to say.”At tha
