Chapter 87

Lorena’s POV

I was woken up in the morning by Cassie’s screams. I jumped from the bed and I rushed downstairs and saw Cassie, frozen in place and looking as pale as a ghost.

I walked up cautiously to her and soon stopped in my tracks. I saw the blood on the floor and some had squirted on the sofa.

“What happened?”

Cassie said nothing to me and began to cry again.

I heard feet run down the stairs.

“Miss Lorena?”

I was stunned and ran towards Kaya. There was no way I was going to her see this gory sight.

“Kaya! Wait! You shouldn’t be here.”

“But Miss Lorena…”

“No, Kaya. Go to your room. Just stay there. You can come down later.”

She pouted and headed back upstairs. I saw her enter her room with a frown on her face.

I walked up to Cassie and put a hand on her shoulder.

“You should really sit down. You should call Jasper and make sure he’s okay.”

“I already tried that! He’s not answering his phone!”

I pulled her away from the pool of blood on the floor and made her sit down on a chair.
