Chapter 94

Jasper’s POV

For the rest of the day, we all sat watching Logan sleep. I knew that Hazel didn’t want to show it but she was tense. I could see her twist her fingers nervously. Her eyes darted around the room, focusing on nothing in particular yet everything.

I knew I was an inconvenience to her relationship with Logan. Initially I was in the way because I loved her and I wanted her but now, I had no choice. I was her protector. I couldn’t leave her side.

Finally, Logan began to stir. He didn’t need to be stressed out so I made to leave the room. I stood outside the door and looked into the room from the little window.

Hazel rushed to Logan’s side but he rebuffed her like she was some kind of plague. I watched as Hazel’s lip began to quiver. I couldn’t make out what she was saying to him but I could tell that he didn’t care at all.

I sighed. This was more than she could bear. I looked at my watch. It was 3pm and none of us had had anything to eat all day. Food would get our minds off
