CHAPTER 7-REMEMBER ONE THING!

"Sorry, Sir. I..." Kate felt nervous. She was very afraid of Jack.

Jack approaches Kate, and he opens the fridge. He said to Kate with a flat expression, "The food inside this fridge is now yours. You can eat as much as you want."

Kate was dumbfounded after Jack said that. She thought that her contract husband would scold her for breaking the sentence. However, Jack instead invited her to eat all the food in the fridge.

Meanwhile, Jack immediately pushed his own wheelchair back into the room. However, Kate chased after him. "Mr. Jack, I apologize for breaking the punishment you gave me." Kate looked sorry.

"Forget that. I should be the one apologizing to you for overreacting. I shouldn't have given you punishment just because you accidentally touched my glass. Because, you are my wife," Jack replied while looking at Kate seriously. Jack's voice sounded soft in Kate's ears, and it made Kate embarrassed. Jack's gaze made Kate's heart beat fast.

"I'm sorry. Please go back to eating. I know that you are very hungry." Jack said again. Then, he immediately pushed his own wheelchair. However, for the second time Kate prevented Jack from leaving.

"Sorry, Mr. Jack. Aren't you feeling hungry tonight? I heard from Gawali that you have a unique habit, which is that you sometimes feel hungry in the middle of the night. Don't you?" Kate felt bad if she let her contract husband feel bad for her for this punishment. That was why Kate was trying to break Jack's mood. In accordance with their contract marriage agreement, that Kate should be a contract wife who could make Jack happy every day.

Jack nodded. "Yes, I actually feel hungry. But, I know that there is no food that I will eat tonight. The maids are already asleep. I don't want to disturb their rest today."

"Sir, how about I make a meal for you tonight. I have a little cooking ability." Kate offered happily.

Jack looked speechless for a moment, and then he nodded in agreement. "Okay. I'll wait for you in my workroom. Come there with the food you've cooked."

Jack left Emily in the kitchen, he pushed his own wheelchair to go to his workroom to wait for Kate to finish cooking.

30 minutes later

Kate cleaned herself up after she finished cooking for Clayton. She put her cooking on a tray and brought it to Jack's workroom.

"Excuse me, Sir. I've finished cooking food for you. Then, may I come into your room, Sir?" Kate said at the door of Jack's workroom.

From inside, Jack heard Kate’s  voice. He smiled. However, he had to return to his normal facial expression. He had to look cool and remain authoritative in front of Kate.

"Yes. You may come in." Jack replied.

Then, Kate walked into Jack's workroom. She walked up to Jack very carefully, as he was carrying food.

"Sir, please eat my cooking." Kate said that as she placed the food on Jack's desk with his approval.

"Explain to me first what you cooked?" Jack asked Kate.

Then, Kate immediately did her contract husband's bidding. "I made pasta for you, and here are some frozen snacks from the fridge that I've warmed up again. The drinks are mineral water and dragon fruit juice for your health."

Jack did not respond to Kate's explanation, but he immediately ate Kate’s cooking. The first chew, Jack's facial expression was still ordinary. However, during the second and subsequent chews, Jack seemed to be happy. He was eating very voraciously, even in just a moment the plate of pasta made by Kate had been eaten by Jack.

Kate was very happy to see her contract husband finish all the food she made.

"Starting tomorrow, I only want to eat your cooking. So, you have to cook my food. Starting from breakfast, lunch, and dinner." Jack said after he finished finishing all the food.

Kate's eyes rounded. She was stunned to hear that. Kate’s facial expression looked surprised, and Jack knew it after he looked at Kate for a moment. "Why are you surprised? Are you unwilling to carry out my orders? Are you unwilling to cook for me every day?" Jack looked at Kate seriously.

Kate immediately shook her head. She immediately clarified Kate's misunderstanding. "No, Sir. Instead, I really want to cook for you. Because, you are my husband. In our marriage contract it is written that I must be a good wife to you. So, I'm willing to cook for you every day."

"Then, why are you surprised? I thought you weren't prepared to cook my food every day." Jack raised one eyebrow. He looked at Kate suspiciously.

Actually, Kate was willing to cook for Jack every day, but right now she was thinking about how she could divide her time between cooking every day for Jack and her working hours at the office. Kate had to go to the office as well, and she usually started working from seven in the morning until five in the afternoon. So, how can she cook for Jack every day from breakfast to dinner?

"Sir, I apologize in advance. I was thinking of a way that I could split my time fairly between cooking for you and working in the office." Kate replied innocently.

Jack just found out that Kate was still working. He immediately scolded Kate, "WHAT? Are you still working? Why are you still working? Is the money I give you every month not enough?" Jack's eyes turned red.

Kate could only remain silent while biting her lower lip. Right now she was afraid because Jack looked angry.

Jack said again firmly to Kate, "Kate! You have to resign from the office where you work. You've become my wife, so you have to serve me at home properly!"

"Remember one thing, I won't eat if I don't eat your cooking!" Jack added.
