CHAPTER 8-AT NIGHT

"I'm sorry, Sir. I'm still working at the office because I think our marriage is a contract marriage, and it will end. So, that's why I'm still working." Kate looked down after explaining to Jack why she was still working.

Jack was silent for a moment. He was thinking about something. The purpose of his contract marriage with Kate was for business purposes.

Then, Kate added her sentence and nodded quickly, "Okay, Sir. Starting tomorrow, I won't work anymore, and I will be a good wife to you."

"Good. I'm glad to hear that. Let's go back to the room to rest. It's getting late." Jack invited Kate to hurry into their room. Kate complied. She pushed Jack's wheelchair into the room.

"Can you carry my body so I can lie down on the bed?" Jack looked at Kate expressionlessly.

Jack was dumbfounded, but she quickly returned her facial expression to normal. She didn't want Jack to suspect her, so Kate was forced to nod. "Of course, Sir. I'll do it." Kate immediately carried Jack's heavy body to lie down on the bed.

"Why is he so spoiled with me? Before I became his wife, he could do everything himself without any help," Kate said to herself.

"Does my body feel heavy?" Jack asked Kate when he was already lying on the bed, and Kate was covering his body up to his chest.

Kate smiled briefly, thinking Jack's question was ridiculous. "No, Sir."

"Really? But I could see the expression on your face that looked like you were lifting a heavy weight when you helped me to get on this bed." Jack seemed to be interrogating Kate.

Kate laughed softly, "Really, Sir. It wasn't the expression on my face that I was objecting."

"Then?" Jack's brow furrowed.

"It was an expression of my happiness at being given the opportunity to touch the body of a rich man like you," Kate replied, still busy justifying the position of Jack's blanket properly.

Without replying to Kate's words, Jack pulled Kate's hand. Until Kate's body crushed Jack's body, and Jack immediately hugged Kate almost tightly. Kate was silent because she was still surprised by this scene.

"How about this? Do you feel many times the happiness of being able to touch my body like this?" Jack asked. They were still hugging.

Kate was very embarrassed at this moment. Both of her cheeks were instantly flushed because she was misbehaving. However, she also felt her chest tighten because Jack's embrace was so tight.

"Kate, why do you keep quiet? Why don't you answer my question? Kate's body felt warm, and Jack felt comfortable when hugging her.

Kate answered Jack's question stammeringly because she found it hard to speak due to the tightness of his embrace. "Sorry, Sir. I can't answer because I feel breathless because you're hugging me tightly."

After hearing Kate's answer, Jack realized that he was hugging Kate so tightly that his contract wife felt the tightness. Jack immediately loosened his embrace. "Well. I apologize. How is it right now? Does it still feel tight? I've loosened the hug." Jack also slowly changed Kate's position, originally, Kate was on Jack's body, but now they were lying side by side, and then Jack hugged Kate.

Kate shook her head. "This is already better."

"Okay. Don't let go of this hug until morning," Jack said. Then he closed his eyes.

Kate was speechless after hearing what Jack said. Emily was only worried that Jack did something more than this, and miraculously Jack could feel the worry that Kate felt. Then, Jack opened his eyes again and said to Kate, "Calm down! Don't worry. I'm not going to rape you. The purpose of my contract marriage with you is so that I can be given one of my daddy's companies in America. You know that, right?"

Kate nodded.

"Besides, I'm an impotent man. Right now, I just want to find warmth because I feel cold tonight. That's why I hugged you." Jack closed his eyes again after he clarified to Kate that he would not do anything more than a hug.

Kate was relieved to hear that. She could only surrender to Jack's hug.

"One more thing," Jack said. He looked at Kate seriously. Kate immediately replied, "What is it, sir?"

"I want you to call me 'Honey' from now on. That is one of the important rules while you are my wife, even though it is not written in our marriage contract," Jack explained.

Kate swallowed her saliva. She was still awkward, as she had just married Jack.

"I know it's still awkward for you to call me that every day, but you have to do it. So that we both look very intimate in front of everyone, even though they don't know that our marriage is just a contract marriage." Jack explained what he meant.

Kate smiled sweetly. "Sir, I'll do anything for you except for the one restriction in our marriage contract. I will get used to calling you 'Honey."

Jack and Kate looked at each other, and for a long time, Emily fell asleep.

Jack was the second son of Mr. Mattew. Mr. Mattew Mattew's three sons were billionaires, but they were not married. Mr. Mattew has urged his three sons to marry soon so they can give him grandchildren. However, his three sons chose not to get married because they wanted to focus on their careers and businesses. Therefore, the old Mr. Mattew gave conditions for his three sons to take Mr. Mattew's inheritance. The condition given by Mr. Mattew is that during this one year, his three sons must get married and successfully have children.

The conditions given by Mr. Mattew frustrated his three sons because they did not want to marry the opposite gender. Both of Mr. Mattew's sons are gay. Only Jack is straight. However, unfortunately, Jack has an impotent disease. But Mr. Mattew doesn't want to hear any excuses from his three sons. He wants to have grandchildren so he can have fun with his grandchildren in his old age. Mr. Mattew didn't even care that his second son was impotent. He still wanted Jack to have a wife and even children.

"Dad, I'm impotent. How can I possibly have a wife and then have children?" asked Jack one day when his father had announced the requirement to his three sons.

Mr. Mattew answered Jack's question casually, "I don't care about that. It's up to you. If you want to take your inheritance of the two biggest companies in America, you have to have a wife and, most importantly, children."

Mr. Mattew added another sentence, "You know that technology today is advanced, including technology in medicine. So, you should be able to cure your impotence with medical help."

Jack suddenly remembered everything his father had said. He had woken up from his reverie and momentarily looked at Kate's face. When he looked at Kate, who was already asleep, Jack felt a happiness that he had never felt before. He liked Kate's face, which looked elegant when sleeping. Not only that, but Jack also liked the fragrance of Kate's breath, which smelled like apples.

"I like to look at you when you sleep like this. I suddenly feel lust, but I know I have to hold it back," Jack said while looking at Kate, who had fallen asleep.
