Becca's POV

It had been two days since I ruined Lola's special day and probably lost my best friend, all because I let my emotions get the best of me.

I stared at my phone, looking at the blue ticks indicating that Lola had read my message, but there was still no response. I couldn't blame her. Anyone would be hurt by my actions.

God, I wished all this could just come to an end.

With a sigh, I ran my hands through my hair, dropping my phone in defeat as I laid back on my bed, staring at the white ceiling. Thoughts swirled in my mind, primarily revolving around Naomi. Why had she shown up so suddenly? She seemed fine—if not perfect. A part of me resented her, while another part couldn't blame her. Maybe the pressure had been too much, and she just had to walk away. She looked happy.
