“Maliyah, I’m sorry about last night,” says King Bjarki.

“It’s okay, you didn’t know she was going to challenge me,” I reply as I throw my hair up in a pony tail.

It’s been crazy busy all morning with elves tearing down the dance floor outside and preparing the training grounds. King Bjarki has been upset with himself and I’ve been trying to comfort him.

“You are a guest here and this kind of disrespect is unacceptable. I can stop the challenge,” says King Bjarki.

“No don’t do that. I will never earn your people’s respect if I let you do that.”

King Bjarki smiles at me and nods his head. I know he has come to love me like his second daughter and I have come to love him as a second father.
