Chp 13 Pt. 1 Eighteenth Birthday

Since our fight, I haven’t seen Aspen. He’s been off with Dimitri ever since, convinced I’m under some spell. Today mom and I are having a spa day as tomorrow is my birthday party. I’m excited to finally be turning eighteen and hopefully figure out this mate bond thing.
I’ve been painting the black wolf more and more often and I don’t know why. It’s even starting to make me worry a bit. After I shower, I head downstairs for breakfast before mom and I head out. Everyone is already in the dining room, laughter filling the room.
“Hey everyone!”
“Good morning Maliyah, you ready for today,” asks mom
“Yes! I need a spa day.”
“Good, Jasmine and Ren will be joining us today.”
“Really mom? More guards?”
“Yes. I thought you liked Jasmine and Ren?”
