Chp 19 Pt. 2 Fate

The minute Dr. Smith alerted my family I was awake they immediately teleported to the hospital. I knew the moment they were in the hospital as I could hear Accalia’s voice from down the hall.

“Maliyah!”

Accalia bursts through the door with tears in her eyes and jumps into the bed with me, crushing me with all the strength she can muster.

“You took forever to wake up,” she says through tears.

“I know, I’m sorry to worry you. I’m okay, I promise.”

I look up and find Aiden and Thierry unsure of what to do. I wave them over to join us and they too begin crushing me further in a group hug. I wince a bit but it’s a good pain.

“Easy their kids,” says dad as he kisses the top of head.

He moves out of the way and mom hugs me just as tight as my siblings. <
