I did not want to go to Blood Moon Pack. 

The long history of bad blood between our packs and theirs could be resolved if I could reach an agreement with their Alpha.

There is a knock on the door and I proceed to get it open to see Damon standing with his sword beside him.

“Everything set with you?” He asked, staring down at my royal robe.

“I am ready. I just hope we get my mate and reach a good agreement with the Alpha. It should not be really hard.” I mentioned, looking at Damon for a confirmation.

“One of these two will be tough for you.” 

“And I am sure it is talking to the Alpha of Blood Moon Pack.” I replied with a chuckle.

Damon turned around and is ready to leave.

“Damon!” I called and he turned around. “Thank you for everything, I don’t know if I would have gone through this moment without you.”

“I should be mad at you. But when it comes to the throne I will rather have my own blood seated than a foreigner” 

One thing about Damon that will always surprise me, is usually his unwavering support despite being labeled the king of rogues.

I step back to the room and grab my sword before heading out the door.

By the time I arrived at the chambers, Eldric is talking to some of the pack soldiers.

“Where is Damon?” I asked, looking around the place.

“Giving out instructions to the soldiers,” Eldric replies with a frown on his face. “Alpha, I don’t mean to be rude, but don’t you think there is a way we can change this decision of using Damon as the pack soldiers head?”

“My decision were not taken out of hastiness and I will keep saying this again, Damon was there when we need him and has proven his loyal.” After my words, the door opens and Damon stepped inside.

“The convoy is ready.” He announced. I noticed a smirk on his face, as he turned to Eldric who is visibly fuming.

“You are to take charge of every decision making process in the pack while I am away.” I instruct Eldric before walking towards the door.

“Are you sure it is right making your Beta head of the pack? Your mother Lyana can put in a lead, considering she is a former Luna.”

I placed my hand on his shoulder, a smile plastering over my face. 

“You worry too much Damon. Come, let us go.” I said to Damon, who looked at Eldric once more with a scowl before following me out of the mansion.

I knew Damon had bad blood with a lot of council members and Eldric is one of the people that he appears not to like.

Arriving at Blood Moon Pack, I gazed at the landscape of the pack and I have to admit that I was quite impressed.

“They really have good development going on here.” I express, while looking at the pack members, all staring at the convoys as they passed the street.

By the time we arrived at the pack mansion, several pack soldiers of Blood Moon Pack take their positions, at the entrance of the premises stood a man with golden long hair.

We got down form the carriage and Damon walked beside me. Approaching the entrance, I paused in my track as a familiar face stepped forward.

“I know I should have told you about it, but I needed you to come here to carry out the two task you informed me about.” Damon whispered behind me.

Anabelle stood beside the man and she looked absolutely stunning. 

“Welcome to Blood Moon Pack Alpha Damien.” The man mentioned with a wide grin on his face. “I am glad to have you in my pack.”

We shook hands and I turn my attention to Anabelle, who could barely make eye contact with me.

“You have a beautiful sister.” 

“Sister?” He asked and chuckles “This is my mate and the Luna of this pack.” I added.

I felt my world shattering the moment he made the statement. Anabelle looked away, as I try to hold eye contact with her.

“Come inside.” He held my hands.

Anabelle is ahead of everyone, rushing into the living room and walking up the stairs till she disappeared out of sight.

“I was just speaking to my Beta, he told me that this is the first time in almost multiple decade that an Alpha from Silver Moon pack will come to this place.”

While he was talking, my mind was focused on Anabelle.

How did the moon goddess grant her a second chance mate? Do I even have a chance to get back at my mate.

“Lunch is served, I want you to have a taste of the Blood Moon Pack’s delicacy.” 

As we moved to the dinning table, I turned to Damon. “You owe me a lot of explanation.” I revealed.

The moment we arrived at the dinning section, Anabelle was already seated. The Alpha of Silver Moon sat by her side and led the prayers to the moon goddess, after which meals were served.

As everyone dug into their meals, my attention is drawn to an intimate moment between Alpha Lucian and my mate.

How can she be laughing like that?

She is my mate and should not be with any one other than me! 

“So Alpha Lucian, when did you meet this gorgeous woman?” I asked, while breaking away the moment that they were both sharing.

“Time and chance happened and the moon goddess brought her to me.” He replied.

Anabelle’s eyes showed worry as she looked to my direction.

“And did she tell you that she is from Silver Moon Pack?” I asked.

Damon tapped me gently underneath the sit, but I shoved his hands away.

“Yes, I am aware that she is from Silver Moon Pack.”

“Did she also tell you how she has a mate before meeting you?” 

There is a tensed atmosphere and I turned to Damon, who smacked his head with his hand out of frustration.

“You should not have said that.”
