CHAPTER FOUR

LEONARD POV

Several emotions flooded my thoughts as I realized that I got a mate and not just any mate an Omega. Disobeying father was hurtful, but having to ignore the reality that my mate was weak and should be rejected is something that I would never do.

“You should not have disobeyed your father for me, I am not worth it.” The voice of Annabelle pulled me away from my thoughts.

“He was going to harm you Anna, I will never allow it to happen.” I said, as we arrived at the pack mansion. 

Some of the pack soldiers had the look of shock on their faces, but I did not care in a single world what anyone thinks about my mate.

“But can’t you see we are not alike?” Anna said once more. “I will not deny the fact that I am happy to have you as a mate, but the more I think about it the more I realize that we cannot be married in this pack, not when your father is the Alpha and what happened earlier has proven my fear.” She said.

I held her hands and caused her to look into my eyes for a brief moment. “Are you getting married to my father or me?” I asked and she looked away.

“I know but…” I placed my hands on her lips before she would say another single word.

“I am the heir to Blood Moon Pack and you will be at my side as Luna.” This time I crashed my lips into hers, savoring the sweet taste of her mouth.

“Leo!” I broke away from the kiss and turned around to see Ella standing at the entrance of the hall way with her eyes wide and her mouth opened in disbelief. “You stupid bitch!” 

She tried coming close to Anna, but I pull her behind my back growling.

“So you are protecting this slut huh?” She asked, staring at me in disbelief. “When father told me that you found your mate, I did not know it will be this whore.”

“Ella, I am not going to stand and watch you call my mate a whore one last time. Either you deal with it or you leave the mansion.” My voice was loud and commanding.

She was staring daggers in the direction of Anna which caused me to pull her farther away from her.

 “Anyways, father demands that you come to his chambers immediately.” She revealed.

I grabbed Annabelle’s arms and walked away from Ella, making sure she doesn’t lay a single hands on her.

“You see what I am saying Leo, I cannot be seen with the heir of the pack as my mate.” She said as we turned to the left side of the hallway.

“Allow them to say what they want to say, but nothing will change the fact that you are mine forever.” 

We arrived at my room and I ushered her inside. I watch her take in the environment and her reaction melt my heart. I could not be less grateful for a mate that appreciates the little things.

“You stay here and when I come back from the meeting with my father, we will discuss about our next plan.” I kissed her by the forehead, before leaving the room.

When I arrived at the Alpha’s chamber, I noticed the warmth due to the massive curtains hanging above each corners of the room that prevent the air coming through. 

I am reminded once again about how beautifully crafted the arts hanging on the wall seemed to have been designed. 

“Turn to the left side of the room, what do you see?” My father’s voice startled me, but I followed the direction of his gaze to the pictures of our bloodline, the Alphas that ruled the pack before my father.

 “These are pictures of our ancestors.” I revealed and get agreeing nod from my father. He points to an empty frame beside his own picture saying;

“This frame will be used to hold the picture of the next Alpha of this pack after I am gone and from what I have always taught you at a very tender age, Alphas are not ordinary werewolves, they are blessed by the moon goddess with immense strength.” 

His voice was surprisingly calm as he spoke.

“If you are going to take your place as the next Alpha of this pack, I will not approve of your unio with a weak Omega as my daughter in law and neither will she be the next Luna of this pack.” 

“Why does everyone hates on the innocent girl? Annabelle has been chosen by the moon goddess as my mate and you will not stop it from coming to pass.” I revealed.

“And what do you know about destiny? You think that every wolf will have to wait for the moon goddess before they can take their destiny into their own hands? You are wrong and if you are going to preach to me about destiny, I will have you know that my great grand father, shaped ours today and we will be forever grateful to him” His voice was rising as he spoke.

“So, what do you want me to do father? I am stuck with the Omega that you resent, all thanks to the moon goddess” I revealed.

“Reject her! Leave her alone and once you do that, I assure you, the right mate will come” My father was desperate and I could see it in his eyes, but thinking I would reject my mate was something that will never happen.

“Father, why would you think of such thing? Is that the extent you hate my mate? Do I need to remind you that our mates come once in a life time and if I reject mine, I may never see any again? I stand here to tell you today that I will mark the Omega and she will bear for me beautiful and handsome pups whether it pl

eases you or not” 

I stood up from the chair and ignore his call as I walk out of the chambers.
