Ninety-Nine

The crowded airport's parking lot was disorienting even after Elen had paid a ridiculous fee. His patience was wearing thin because he had to go back to the office to sort out the truckload of work waiting on his desk.

But it seemed he would have to spend some time stuck at the lot because the car in front developed a flat tire, and both cars by his side were tightly closed, making it extremely difficult for him to drive out.

He stood there, wiping sweat off his brow, and a sad smile formed on his lips when his mind flashed back to how his dad disappeared all of a sudden so that he could have time to woo Beatrice. The image flashed, and he shook his head amused.
