Dane POV

Alpha Irvin noticed my bewildered reaction to his question and returned to his seat.

He continued, “All the progress I had hoped for, my pack members, would have been lost. You know, Alpha Dane, what my father was like. In his time, the Red Moon pack resembled the dark ages. And I hated the way he ruled the pack. I wanted change and so when I took over, I brought about that change. You were my ideal, and I learned a lot from you.”

I argued, wondering where he was taking it. “Alpha Irvin, I can understand your worries, but overall, if you’ll see, the omegas are safe.” And I was his ideal? Well, that was a tremendous compliment, except he sounded like I was no longer his ideal.
