As I carried Violet to the bedroom, I could sense her tension. Her muscles were tight against my body and I knew she had a lot of questions and probably felt that if she could talk to Alpha Irvin of the Red Moon pack, she could curtail what was coming. The problem was that she didn’t understand the egos of the Alphas.

Even though Irvin was a progressive Alpha, I knew he had an ego. His omega community was flourishing which was great, but that didn’t mean that he didn’t rule his wolves with an iron fist. However, he disliked it when his people were harmed. He was very protective of them, just like I was about my people.

“Stay here,” I said to Violet as I set her on the feet in the bedroom.

“But I can—”

“Violet!” I snapped. “Enough. I don’t want to hear a word now. I said I will deal with him and that’s it. Don’t you fucking come out, and that’s an order.”
